Tip 1: 13:30 Bangor-on-Dee - Diva Luna - 1pt

This looks a competitive listed Mares’ Novices’ Chase with the four main contenders all making their chasing debuts. Preference goes to DIVA LUNA (best priced at 5/2) who has the advantage of running well in a PTP earlier in her career. The Ben Pauling trained six-year-old has always been the subject of positive quotes from trainer Ben Pauling and she lived up to those with a 3rd placed finish in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Diva Luna is excused her run at Aintree as she returned lame and she represents a stable who have started the season in good form. She has 9lbs to find with the favourite Joyeuse but may be more forward at this time of the season.

Diva Luna 5/2 (1pt)

Tip 2: 14:00 Bangor - Richmond Lake - 1pt

Connections of RICHMOND LAKE (best priced at 4/1) resisted the lure of the Grand National fences in the Grand Sefton this season and he instead makes his reappearance in this weaker contest. The Donald McCain trained nine-year-old has twice won on his reappearance as well as finishing a close 4th in the Grand Sefton.

Richmond Lake finished placed on three occasions last season off a mark of 142 but following two below par efforts at both the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals, he has dropped down to a mark of 137. He now drops down in grade and should prove hard to beat on his reappearance.

Richmond Lake 4/1 (1pt)
