Steve Ryder has picked out three racing tips for Tuesday's action coming from Lingfield, Kelso, and Newcastle.
1:45 Lingfield
Getaway King - 1pt Win
GETAWAY KING (best priced at 11/10) won on his stable debut for Fergal O’Brien last time and he should hold strong claims off only a 4lb higher mark. The seven-year-old had form figures of 7P04P on his final four for Shark Hanlon but did win a PTP in March 2024.
Connections of Getaway King fitted him with a first-time tongue tie last time and he justified favouritism to win by two lengths at the finish off a mark of 86 jumping well under Tom Broughton. He retains the ride and they are expected to prove hard to beat off only a 4lb higher mark.
2:55 Kelso
Ballyfort - 1pt Win
With Stick With Me Sam an early NR in preference for running tomorrow at Warwick instead, this looks a good opportunity for BALLYFORT (best priced at 7/2) to follow up his recent course and distance success. The Nick Alexander trained seven-year-old won on his reappearance by ¾ length off a mark of 103 and has only been given a 1lb rise by the handicapper as a result.
Ballyfort had run in six PTPs so he probably still has improvement to come over fences and he can capitalise on a generous rise from the handicapper.
4:15 Newcastle
The Tunguska Event - 1pt Win
The John & Sean Quinn trained THE TUNGUSKA EVENT (best priced at 4/5) was well beaten on his three qualifying runs in maidens and novice races but won easily over this course and distance on his handicap debut last time.
Fitted with first-time blinkers that day, The Tunguska Event made all to win by 3 ¼ lengths on that occasion off an opening mark of 50 and he should prove hard to beat despite a 9lb rise from the handicapper.
