Tortured Soul has won twice in the past year off marks of 66 and 69 and therefore looks well handicapped and should relish this step back up in trip.

This looks a competitive maiden hurdle but a chance is taken on the Dan Skelton trained BOSSMAN JACK (best priced at 3/1). The five-year-old defied odds of 15/2 to win a bumper at Wincanton on his debut when staying on strongly at the finish. Although the form of that race was slightly let down by the runner-up on his hurdling debut, it was a dominant success and he looks an exciting novice hurdler this season.
Bossman Jack is a half-brother to Gidleigh Park so he should relish this switch to obstacles for a stable who have unleashed some smart novice hurdlers recently.
