The Phil Kirby trained seven-year-old finished runner-up at Wetherby in October before winning by 6 ½ lengths at Newcastle last time off a mark of 94 under Joe Williamson.
The handicapper has raised Washatok 8lbs for that victory but he can instead run here off the same mark switching back from hurdling to chasing. He finished well beaten on his only previous start over fences in January 2024 but that was off a mark of 120 and he should prove hard to beat off a mark of 94.

Prince Milania won on her stable debut for Mark Walford but preference goes to the topweight YOU SOME GIRL (best priced at 7/1) who won this race last year. The Rebecca Menzies trained eight-year-old won was an easy 6 ½ length winner last season off a mark of 91 as well as winning a bumper here and finishing 4th in December.
You Some Girl won by 6 ½ lengths on her chasing debut last time but now reverts back to hurdling off a mark of 110. Charlie Maggs is back on board to claim 5lbs so she is technically 3lbs lower than her success last time and she looks overpriced as a result.

Charlie Hall Chase winner Djelo remains Venetia Williams’ only winner of the season so far but her runner GIRLS BEST FRIEND (best priced at 9/1) is fascinating on her chasing debut under rules. The six-year-old would have finished 2nd behind the 137 rated Mossy Fen Park and in front of the 110 rated Tommys Law in an Irish PTP in February 2023 when unseating her rider at the final fence.
Girls Best Friend finished well beaten on her three starts in maiden hurdles over an intermediate distance last season but as a result has been awarded an opening handicap mark of 87. She now steps up in trip to 3 miles and she looks overpriced with Charlie Deutch back on board.
