12:13 Punchestown

Tip 1 – 12:13 Punchestown – HE CAN’T DANCE – 0.5pt Each-Way

Although it was disappointing that He Can’t Dance (best priced at 9/2) underperformed on hurdling debut, his stablemate Kalypso’chance did the same before winning on his second start. The Gordon Elliott-trained five-year-old has a fitness edge over rivals Green Splendour, Bally Free, and Did I Ask You That — something that could prove crucial over this 2m6f trip.

He Can’t Dance finished 8th in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival and can confirm bumper form with the favourite, who finished behind him at the Dublin Racing Festival.

Selection: HE CAN’T DANCE – 0.5pt each-way at 9/2

15:00 Punchestown

Tip 2 – 15:00 Punchestown – GAELIC WARRIOR – 1pt Win

It’s difficult to know the fitness levels of both Fact To File and Gaelic Warrior (best priced at 6/4) on their reappearance, but the price disparity between the pair looks too big. The seven-year-old ended last season in superb style, winning the Grade 1 Aintree Bowl Chase by three lengths from Grey Dawning before beating stablemate Appreciate It by five lengths at Sandown under a penalty.

Gaelic Warrior was an impressive winner over this intermediate trip twice in 2023, beating both Inothewayurthinkin and Il Etait Temps with ease. He has form figures of 112 at this track, with his only defeat coming over an inadequate two-mile trip, and he could upset his better-fancied stablemate today.

Selection: GAELIC WARRIOR – 1pt win at 6/4
