KHMER was in the process of running a good race on his hurdling debut at Fairyhouse when he departed at the final flight and compensation could be forthcoming. Bon Viveur was beaten a fair way into third in a Navan bumper in March and reappears over hurdles in a first-time tongue-tie for Willie Mullins. He's a half-brother to a hurdle winner and improvement looks more than likely. How's The Head drops in trip after a runner-up effort on his hurdling bow at Limerick and ought to be a contender. Prediction : 1st Khmer 2nd Bon Viveur 3rd Hows The Head

BARRA RUA put together a solid sequence of results in bumpers which culminated in a victory at this track last month. She began her hurdling career with a third at Cork and she tops the shortlist here. Gordon Elliott's Working Away weakened out of contention on her Rules debut at the start of the month, but gets a tongue-tie. Mahon Falls, who represents Willie Mullins and Paul Townend, may not want the ground too deep but has some good form to her name. Prediction : 1st Barra Rua 2nd Working Away 3rd Mahon Falls

COUSIN KATE won a maiden hurdle here last month and finished clear of the remainder when second on her handicap debut at Gowran. That was over 2m4f on heavy ground, so she ticks a lot of boxes with the promise of more to come. Great Bird went close over a longer trip at Clonmel and was disputing the lead when coming down at the final flight at Thurles last time. Miss Lia is in form but ground conditions may count against her. Prediction : 1st Cousin Kate 2nd Great Bird 3rd Miss Lia

RAINBOW CONNECTION was no match for a useful winner when second in a Galway maiden hurdle, but her previous fourth on soft ground at Gowran was creditable and a capable 7lb claimer now takes the ride on her handicap debut. Alright Darling won at Thurles and her subsequent third on heavy ground at Gowran was a solid effort. Wexford runner-up King's Son is another handicap debutant who makes some appeal as he goes over a longer trip. Prediction : 1st Rainbow Connection 2nd Alright Darling 3rd Kings Son

ACLASS has made the frame in a couple of handicap chases and can put that experience to good use. He handles testing ground and three miles may just have stretched his stamina when third on his most recent run over fences at Fairyhouse. The selection may have needed the run when beaten by Jerisk Star over hurdles at Gowran, but that rival ran well for a long way until falling on chase debut at the same track and looks a big player. Gavin Cromwell has won the last two renewals of this, so point-to-point runner-up Lecale's Diamond cannot be discounted. Prediction : 1st Aclass 2nd Jerisk Star 3rd Lecales Diamond

TOOR MOON has been knocking on the door and may be able to gain a deserved success. The eight-year-old has been runner-up on his last three outings and is only 2lb higher than when second at Clonmel last month. That was a good run and a similar effort may be enough to get the job done now. Bondi Boy Blue was just nailed on the line here in August by Likable Chancer. The latter has been well beaten in two runs since but has also eased a few pounds and the pair face off again on the same terms. Prediction : 1st Toor Moon 2nd Bondi Boy Blue 3rd Likable Chancer

TORPILLE DAGROSTIS has been runner-up on both starts to date and can make the breakthrough now. She bumped into a smart looking sort in Shadys Lady on her return at Naas 16 days ago and this looks like a slightly easier task. Susie Lenglen looks an obvious danger having been placed on both of her starts. Isdistheone is another with placed form that has to be on the shortlist. Prediction : 1st Torpille Dagrostis 2nd Susie Lenglen 3rd Isdistheone
