Buzz Iceclear - 1pt

Best odds available of 6/4 on Betfred while publishing.

The Mark Walford-trained BUZZ ICECLEAR (best priced at 6/4) made a winning return when upped significantly in trip to 3 miles, and he can follow up off only a 5lb higher mark. The five-year-old had run with credit on his three qualifying runs in maiden/novice hurdles over 2m1f but improved for the step up in trip on his return from 257 days off the track.

Buzz Iceclear won off an opening mark of 94 and was initially raised 5lbs for that neck success over Themanintheboots, with the pair pulling 8 ½ lengths clear of the third. The runner-up has won by seven lengths since, so Buzz Iceclear has been raised a further 2lbs collaterally but runs here instead of his initial rise in the weights.

Little Wren - 1pt

Best odds of 6/1 available at Paddy Power while publishing.

There won’t be many horses in the Dan Skelton yard, only rated 74, so it is intriguing to see LITTLE WREN (best priced at 6/1) on her handicap debut for the stable. The daughter of Walk In The Park has been beaten 82, 40 and 98 lengths on her three starts in maiden/novice hurdles over 2 miles, but now steps up in trip to 2m4½f on her handicap debut.

A much-improved effort is expected from Little Wren, and she should be able to get off the mark on her handicap debut.

Berkshire Whisper - 1pt

Best odds of 11/2 available on bet365 during publishing.

This looks like a competitive 0-100 handicap, but preference goes to BERKSHIRE WHISPER (best priced at 3/1), who remains unexposed on the AW. The Andrew Balding-trained three-year-old has form figures of 2111 on the AW, including a victory at Newcastle off a mark of 89 in April.

He finished a good 4th in the listed Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury on his next start before finding Group 1 company too hot in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.

Berkshire Whisper runs here off top weight with a rating of 98 but is unexposed on the AW and looks the one to beat despite returning from a 159-day break.
