It wouldn't be a surprise if he was able to reverse that form now sent hurdling.

With that run under her belt, the seven-year-old is more than capable of going one better. Malaita has been knocking on the door and enters calculations along with recent Kempton runner-up Ilovethenightlife.

Laganhill will likely be sharper for his recent chasing debut at Carlisle and this longer trip promises to bring improvement, while Grand Albert returns to the fray 7lb higher than when scoring at Wetherby last Christmas but he could still feature. NEWTON TORNADO was in the process of running a big race when falling four fences from home at Cheltenham on last month's reappearance. This looks less competitive and he could go close with a clear round.

JOUR D'EVASION has won off a similar mark over hurdles and finished a decent fifth at Aintree on his first start over the larger obstacles. A recent runner-up at Uttoxeter, Passing Kate could land a blow off only 2lb higher, while A Moments Madness has to be of interest on his debut for Fergal O'Brien's yard.
