DANDY KHAN outran odds of 50/1 to finish fourth over a mile here, but punters ignored the improvement and she popped up at 40/1 over C&D last week. She appeared to have something up her sleeve and might be able to force Chloe's Courage and Blue Empress to settle for supporting roles again. Groundsman offered encouragement when making the frame on his first appearance for the Mark Loughnane team and could be the primary threat.Prediction : 1st Dandy Khan 2nd Groundsman 3rd Blue Empress

As Newmarket novice events go, the race BANYAN finished second in on debut probably wasn't a strong one. The daughter of Siyouni has been off for more than a year too, but it is interesting that the Gosdens are persevering with her and she is expected to relish the rise from 7f. None of the others with experience have shown more than a modicum of ability so Cracksman gelding Ted Le Saux is fancied to provide the sternest resistance. Fellow newcomer Imperial Decision is a tentative pick for third.Prediction : 1st Banyan 2nd Ted Le Saux 3rd Imperial Decision

SAPPHIRE SIROCCO showed her 25/1 C&D second was no fluke when going agonisingly close at Chelmsford, and then gained just reward for those efforts with a breakthrough success back over this track and trip. She is clearly a filly on an upward curve and can continue on that trajectory. Captain Robert came within a whisker of getting off the mark at Southwell and shouldn't remain a maiden for too much longer. Nunc Est Bibendum and Girls Night Out are interesting on the step up in distance, while Prince Quattro remains well treated compared to his hurdling mark.Prediction : 1st Sapphire Sirocco 2nd Captain Robert 3rd Girls Night Out

KNIGHT OF GLORY lost two places towards the finish when fourth on debut at Chelmsford and is likely to take a step forward from that display. With the potential for more to come, along with the booking of Rossa Ryan, he looks the way to go. Hauteluce makes appeal on paper, although the daughter of Romanised might fare better over longer trips. Hot To Hot changed hands for 20,000 euros at the breeze-ups earlier in the year and is one to watch in the betting.Prediction : 1st Knight Of Glory 2nd Hauteluce 3rd Hot To Hot

Chico Dulce justified favouritism at Lingfield on his latest outing, but a 4lb higher mark might open the door for VILLALOBOS. Simon Hodgson's six-year-old showed more when third in first-time blinkers at Kempton in September and goes off an unchanged mark. The reapplication of the visor might bring about the improvement required to regain the winning thread. Warrnambool isn't ruled out either.Prediction : 1st Villalobos 2nd Chico Dulce 3rd Warrnambool

LIKEALOT has produced some good efforts since her successful debut, filling the runner-up spot in four of her seven starts, most recently behind Solarize at Wolverhampton. The daughter of Camelot goes off the same rating and this looks a good opportunity to get her head back in front. Charlie's Choice was pipped over 1m2f here recently and won't have any problems with this step back up in trip. Vice President looks best of the rest.Prediction : 1st Likealot 2nd Charlies Choice 3rd Vice President
14:30 Lingfield
The step up to 1m2f made the difference for MUY MUY LOCO when getting off the mark here in October and a 3lb rise doesn't appear to be overly harsh, especially given the fact he is likely to have more to come over this distance. The application of blinkers is expected to sharpen up Bintazzo, while any market support for Nekazari on his debut for George Boughey should be taken seriously.Prediction : 1st Muy Muy Loco 2nd Bintazzo 3rd Nekazari
15:00 Lingfield
SHALFA was last seen in winning action at Brighton in September and the C&D winner looks to have been found a suitable opportunity off a 2lb higher mark. Tatmeen's run at Chelmsford is best ignored and the drop in trip gives him every chance to bounce back, while a return to the all-weather may see Bownder in a better light.Prediction : 1st Shalfa 2nd Tatmeen 3rd Bownder
15:30 Lingfield
ALAFDHAL scored at Wolverhampton before attempting to follow up under a 4lb penalty at the same track three days later. The seven-year-old went down by a neck over 6f and the drop back in trip is likely to benefit him on this occasion. Roman Spring got the better of South Shore Island over C&D last week, but the latter may reverse the form with a 5lb swing due to the winner's penalty.Prediction : 1st Alafdhal 2nd South Shore Island 3rd Roman Spring
