Tip1: LAVENDER HILL MOB - 0.5pts Each-Way

LAVENDER MOB HILL (11/2) was very useful on the Flat and although his progress was halted when down the field at the Cheltenham Festival, James Owen’s charge was right back on track when destroying his field at the November meeting.

He relished the step up in trip and beat some very good horses that day, doing it the hard way from the front. The further he went, the better he looked and that could be a turning point in his career.

Just on that evidence, this extra yardage could be right up his street. With more to come, this four-year-old seems overpriced and must have every chance. I really like his claims.

Tip 2: HONKY TONK HIGHWAY - 0.5pts Each-Way

HONKY TONK HIGHWAY (12/1) can be best excused for her reappearance where she clearly needed the run and better is expected now.

Harry Skelton has jumped ship, but Brendan Powell is an eye-catching booking regardless and this mare was a Listed C&D winner on this card twelve months ago.

She was also a bumper winner here on debut so she defends an unbeaten course record. In addition, she’s two wins from two over two miles.

If she can take a step forward from her comeback run at Bangor, then I can see the six-year-old easily exceed market expectations.
