The six-year-old made a pleasing introduction to fences when third at Sedgefield last month and is expected to build on that effort.

Despite showing plenty of signs of greenness, Zamek shaped with lots of promise when second at Lingfield and he is likely to take a step forward. Even so, this might be the day for SHADE OF WINTER. Runner-up in three of his five outings under Rules, Evan Williams' charge sets the standard with an official rating of 113 and can bounce back from his disappointing handicap bow at Cheltenham to strike. Liam Mera Kai completes the shortlist.

It's hard to get away from STRONG RUN. Tigers Moon is yet to run a bad race since competing in handicap company and, despite failing to justify favouritism when second at Fontwell last time, he remains of interest. However, KALLY DES BRUYERES weakened into fourth on the run-in over an extended 2m3f at Huntingdon and this drop back in trip looks the right move. Off a 1lb lower rating, the five-year-old makes plenty of appeal. Lusso Milan is far from out of it either.

With the Stuart Edmunds yard in good form, Comanche Magic makes some appeal on his first start for the yard on handicap debut. Gold Link ran too badly to be true when last at Kempton in October and might be worth another chance, but TRAMUNTANA gets the vote. The six-year-old filled the runner-up spot at Huntingdon on his return to action and with Sean Bowen back in the plate, he could be the one to beat.
