He is marginally worse off at the weights, but his good attitude and appetite for a battle can help him confirm his superiority. Wisetanck came within a neck of breaking through on his nursery debut at Kempton, on the same day that Victor Cee finished third at Wolverhampton, and both must be respected.

PARADISE WALK's pedigree is all about speed and she showed plenty of dash on her Chelmsford debut, only to be pipped by a rival with previous experience. The winner has since gone close to following up and is now rated 87 so Ralph Beckett's juvenile, who should relish the drop from 7f, is expected to get off the mark. Cherry Baker has shown a decent level of form and will also be happier down at 6f, while 80,000gns Acclamation filly Egotistical is an interesting newcomer.

Urban Road is expected to run his usual honest race in this handicap off top weight, while fellow C&D winner Down To The Kid is another who has rarely run poorly this year. RENESMEE might have their measure, though, as she couldn't have won any easier when switched to the all-weather at Chelmsford last month and may have a bit more in the locker.

ZOULU WARRIOR couldn't justify favouritism at Wolverhampton, but still performed well to be beaten less than a length into second behind the reopposing No Knee Never. He might not need much more in order to go one better because he's 5lb better off when taking into account the winner's penalty. Angel Of England also took the silver medal home on his latest start at Newcastle and commands respect given that looked a good piece of form behind a progressive sprinter.

She's not the most consistent, though, which gives hope to her rivals and Raft Up will be fancied by many to at least make the frame. C&D winner Neptune Legend is another to watch out for.

A winner on turf from 1lb lower in August, ZIGGY'S TRITON has gone well over this C&D before and looks worth another chance from a still feasible rating. Sam's Hope (winner) comfortably held Popular Dream (third) in an encounter over track and trip last month but might struggle to uphold the form, as the latter has a 7lb pull on the revised terms. Winchurch could be interesting for each-way purposes after a luckless run here last week.
