THIS GUY can gain a deserved success. The Danny Murphy-trained gelding lost out narrowly over C&D last week, when just nailed on the line. He sets the standard with his mark of 75 and his experience looks like a big asset. Sayonara is the potential improver in the field and could be the danger. The Kodiac colt shaped nicely when third to a decent sort in Fox In Flight here 16 days ago, and stepping up in trip may bring improvement. Oasis Dream filly Full Moon Tonight looks like a newcomer to note in the market for trainer Gavin Cromwell.
Prediction : 1st This Guy 2nd Sayonara 3rd Full Moon Tonight

WEARING STARS ran a big race when third here three weeks ago and can open her account. The Starspangledbanner filly disputed the lead passing the furlong pole before being edged out in a tight finish. The form looks solid, with the fourth narrowly denied here since. Leveraging has improved from run to run and could be the one to give her most to do. The Dandy Man colt wasn't beaten far when sixth here early last month. Pass Me If You Can may improve a bit from his debut and is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Wearing Stars 2nd Leveraging 3rd Pass Me If You Can

EHTEYAT ran a couple of solid races over shorter trips after his impressive victory at Listowel. He was most recently seen running a big race to finish third to Slurricane in a competitive event at Galway in late October and should appreciate going further again now. He won twice on the all-weather in England so this surface shouldn't be an issue. Voice Of Reason obviously commands respect having won his last two here. They both came over a mile and a half and this trip is a slight worry. Jerandme is a dual C&D winner and ran well on his return to Dundalk three weeks ago. He's another for the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Ehteyat 2nd Voice Of Reason 3rd Jerandme

NIKKI SWANGO has been in great form here of late and may be able to bag another win before the handicapper gets to grips with her. The Galileo Gold filly was a cosy winner over C&D 16 days ago and is fancied to defy a 7lb rise. Ocean Manifest gained an overdue maiden win here last month and that confidence booster may have done him good. The form has been boosted with the runner-up winning since. Little Empire has posted two solid placed efforts over shorter trips since winning over C&D last month. He's another to consider back at 7f.
Prediction : 1st Nikki Swango 2nd Ocean Manifest 3rd Little Empire

PRETTY OMAGH GIRL has useful ability and ran well over C&D last month. Out of an American stakes-placed mare, she ran well on her Curragh debut in June and although then absent for 154 days, she returned with a fine effort here. That form is good, with the third scoring subsequently. Leopold The First is well suited by the all-weather and having run well in a recent handicap, should again figure. Carrara showed ability in France and, surely better than her two Irish runs, now debuts on the all-weather.
Prediction : 1st Pretty Omagh Girl 2nd Leopold The First 3rd Carrara

FIXATION landed a sizeable gamble for new connections here and can defy a 7lb hike now dropping back in trip. Johnny Murtagh's three-year-old showed nice ability when runner-up at Leopardstown in August, with both the winner and third scoring subsequently. Soft ground might have been his undoing at Cork but having scored on his first run following a break last month, he can continue to progress. Far From Dandy won over C&D last month and having also been raised 7lb, should figure. Oiche Rua scored over 7f here last month but has form at a mile and is another with claims, from a 5lb higher mark.
Prediction : 1st Fixation 2nd Far From Dandy 3rd Oiche Rua

COLUGO has been running well and it is hoped she can progress now stepping up to this distance. Initially rated 72 back in March, she is well suited by the all-weather and competes from the same rating as when third here nine days ago, but with her rider now claiming 5lb. Rock Ya Boy Ya has shown improvement to complete a hurdling hat-trick but although rated just 41 and partnered by a 10b claimer for this Flat return, he worryingly has failed to place in nine previous all-weather starts. Four-time course winner Kartayaz scored here recently and steps up in trip.
Prediction : 1st Colugo 2nd Rock Ya Boy Ya 3rd Kartayaz

TAKE HEART debuts for new connections and should go close, with his rating slipping throughout the year. The winner of a valuable Goodwood handicap in July 2024, he has competed well in other smart races and although he has been off for a couple of months, he was once rated 99, is well suited by surface and distance, and his rider claims 3lb. Quatre Bras has been running consistently well and while probably not ahead of the handicapper, should again compete. Nakasero is 1lb higher following a narrow defeat over C&D, and he is now partnered by a 7lb claimer.
Prediction : 1st Take Heart 2nd Quatre Bras 3rd Nakasero
