KHRISMA bumped into the useful Casheldale Lad at Punchestown in May before duly obliging at cramped odds last month. Nicky Henderson's mare sets a tall order with an official rating of 127 so unless any of her rivals can take a big step forward, this should be another fine opportunity. Shotgun Shirley finished second in a Listed bumper having been successful at Uttoxeter the start prior and must be of interest now sent hurdling, whilst Watamu and Kittys Glance are others to consider.
Prediction : 1st Khrisma 2nd Shotgun Shirley 3rd Watamu

There are a few that will fancy their chances, including the likes of Petty Cash and veteran Zacony Rebel, who arrives having won over C&D recently. Thruthelookinglass could step forward from a satisfactory chasing bow, but the vote goes to MIXEDWAVE. Pam Sly's eight-year-old doesn't have the greatest record when fresh, so it was encouraging that he ran well enough at Market Rasen on his return. The dual C&D winner is 1lb lower now and a big run is anticipated.
Prediction : 1st Mixedwave 2nd Petty Cash 3rd Zacony Rebel

This isn't the deepest of contests and it might pay to side with REHILL RELIC. A faller on his chasing bow before running with credit at Southwell next time, the son of Mahler could be capable of better and wouldn't need to find stacks of improvement. Lunar Ocean was largely consistent over fences last term and makes more appeal than most and, despite a lacklustre effort at Bangor, it would be unwise to dismiss Gwennie May Jem with Sean Bowen in the plate.
Prediction : 1st Rehill Relic 2nd Lunar Ocean 3rd Gwennie May Jem

Pulled up over fences in October, EBSELYSEES showed the benefit of that pipe-opener when finishing a resolute second back over the smaller obstacles here last month. This shorter trip shouldn't be an issue, given she landed a novice hurdle over C&D last term, and she gets the vote. Little Pi also posted a better effort reverting to hurdles at Hereford, while the unexposed handicap-debutant Kenzoko is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Ebselysees 2nd Little Pi 3rd Kenzoko

A top-class performer on the Flat, AMBIENTE FRIENDLY opened his account over timber with a hard fought success over C&D. He showed a willing attitude on that occasion, and James Owen's charge could prove better than his opening mark now handicapping. Across Earth returned the decisive winner at Sandown, despite a couple of mistakes, and will be hard to keep out of the frame with any further improvement. Frontier Prince placed at Cheltenham last time and is not out of this either.
Prediction : 1st Ambiente Friendly 2nd Across Earth 3rd Frontier Prince

TOUQUET expended a lot of energy by running freely at Lingfield last week but that third-placed effort still reads well in the context of this race. The Nick Gifford-trained six-year-old is worth another chance from the same mark, with a first-time tongue-tie tried. Electric Eddy and Forcetoreckonwith also ran zestfully on their latest starts and are other solid options to monitor in the betting. Catchim, who is a likely pace angle, drops in trip and is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Touquet 2nd Electric Eddy 3rd Forcetoreckonwith

With a pedigree blending speed and stamina, VISCOUNTESS NELSON is an intriguing Rules debutant for the powerful Nicky Henderson yard. The daughter of Mount Nelson was a cosy winner on her sole start in a point-to-point and is in the right hands to have big impact in a race of this nature. Hitintheheadlines has a similar background and is open to any amount of improvement after a respectable third in a bumper at Ascot last month. Milpat is the pick of the rest.
Prediction : 1st Viscountess Nelson 2nd Hitintheheadlines 3rd Milpat
