TOUQUET expended a lot of energy by running freely at Lingfield last week but that third-placed effort still reads well in the context of this race. The Nick Gifford-trained six-year-old is worth another chance from the same mark, with a first-time tongue-tie tried. Electric Eddy and Forcetoreckonwith also ran zestfully on their latest starts and are other solid options to monitor in the betting. Catchim, who is a likely pace angle, drops in trip and is another to consider.

With a pedigree blending speed and stamina, VISCOUNTESS NELSON is an intriguing Rules debutant for the powerful Nicky Henderson yard. The daughter of Mount Nelson was a cosy winner on her sole start in a point-to-point and is in the right hands to have big impact in a race of this nature. Hitintheheadlines has a similar background and is open to any amount of improvement after a respectable third in a bumper at Ascot last month. Milpat is the pick of the rest.
