Narrowly beaten between the flags, Kaka's Cousin cost 160,000 pounds and is one to note in this sphere.

Wind surgery seems to have worked the oracle for SUPREME GEORGE. He left his previous form behind when returning the convincing winner at Ludlow on his second start over fences, and Donald McCain's charge looks one to keep the right side of. A winner at Kelso on his return to the fray, Classical Sting also proved himself well suited to the larger obstacles. He rates the main danger, ahead of Powerofjet and Galidam.

Roarin' Success was useful on the Flat and if she takes to hurdling on her first start for Donald McCain, she could be the surprise package. However, NINNA COLLINA has won both starts this season when produced late on and although she has to give weight away, there is a chance she is better than this and will be seen in stronger events soon enough. No Tricks At All and Azahara Palace both look as if they will be better over further in time.

A C&D winner by two lengths last time out when keeping on well on similar ground, he has only been put up 2lb, which seems unlikely to scupper his chances. Slaney Opera finished third in a decent hunter chase at Stratford when last seen and is hard to overlook in this grade. Redbridge Rambler is also considered.

Hajey won this in 2023 off a mark of 113 and as he races off 3lb lower after a Sedgefield fourth, he has to enter calculations. Gardener returns to hurdles after unseating over fences at Bangor and is more than capable off his current rating, but CAMARRATE might have the edge. A promising two-length second at Wetherby in October, he races off the same figure in this weaker contest.
