In The Age won a point-to-point and then a Southwell bumper but is yet to win over hurdles. He can go well over this trip, but C&D winner SILVER HILL is preferred. Scoring by a length and a half that day on his second start over hurdles, he looks the sort to do better with more experience. Pioneer Pete is best of the rest and could be booked for third.Prediction : 1st Silver Hill 2nd In The Age 3rd Pioneer Pete

IMPERIAL RULE has had wind surgery since finishing third at Sedgefield in early November and, if he improves for that on only his second start since December 2024, then he could prove hard to beat. Beat The Edge won this last year off 2lb lower and warrants respect, but he has not been at his best recently and December third Defence Witness may prove a bigger danger.Prediction : 1st Imperial Rule 2nd Defence Witness 3rd Beat The Edge

Inedit D'amour is one to consider after finishing third at Carlisle before failing to see it out over further at the same track, but he may have to settle for a place if NOT FOR PASSIN puts in a clear round. He lived up to his name to take a Perth bumper last May, but pulled too hard on his return at Huntingdon, falling three out. With that run under his belt he could do a lot better now, with Have Secret another to watch out for. Prediction : 1st Not For Passin 2nd Inedit Damour 3rd Have Secret

SUPREME GEORGE has proved a different proposition since undergoing a wind procedure in November and a hat-trick could be on the cards. A 7lb penalty for the six-year-old's latest triumph over C&D is unlikely to prevent another bold bid and he's taken to fend off Treaty Boy. Stuart Coltherd's charge is a dual winner over track and trip and isn't taken lightly reverting to this venue. Zara's Universe is the pick of the remainder.Prediction : 1st Supreme George 2nd Treaty Boy 3rd Zaras Universe

Having enjoyed two winners and a close-up second at the last meeting here, Jonjo & A J O'Neill runners merit plenty of respect and it could be worth chancing KNIGHTSBRIDGE. Although the six-year-old could only muster an eighth-placed finish at Taunton three weeks ago, his previous form gives him strong claims. Bollin Neil only gave way in the closing stages when recently finishing fifth over C&D and is feared most, ahead of Rebel Intentions.Prediction : 1st Knightsbridge 2nd Bollin Neil 3rd Rebel Intentions
15:20 Catterick
Although thwarted in his bid to complete a double, John Betjeman was far from disgraced when hitting the frame at Musselburgh 10 days ago. Donald McCain's charge is likely to be involved with a similar performance, but CAWTHORNE BANKER is slightly more appealing. The eight-year-old can be forgiven his latest defeat at Stratford after being turned out just one day after scoring at Uttoxeter, with a 75-day break likely to have freshened him up. Useful Flat performer Gozo is also worth a second look.Prediction : 1st Cawthorne Banker 2nd John Betjeman 3rd Gozo
