13:15 Chepstow
Walkinthewoods was last seen over fences winning a class 5 handicap at Plumpton in May and races off just a 3lb higher rating, so he has to be respected. However, the improving ROE AND CO completed a hat-trick at Leicester on his most recent outing and may have been worth more than the winning margin suggests that day. Easy To Follow completes the shortlist.Prediction : 1st Roe And Co 2nd Walkinthewoods 3rd Easy To Follow
13:45 Chepstow
This might prove to be a match between BARON NOIR and Modern Man as only 1lb separates them on official ratings. Preference, though, is for Alan King's gelding after getting off the mark in cosy fashion over this trip at Uttoxeter and remains capable of further improvement. As for the latter, he will need to prove as effective over this distance after his triumph over an extended 2m3f here last time. Kel Du Large looks booked for third.Prediction : 1st Baron Noir 2nd Modern Man 3rd Kel Du Large
14:15 Chepstow
THE PRICE OF PEACE evidently relished the step up in distance when bolting up over track and trip last month and is likely to have lots of improvement in him. The point-to-point winner has Sean Bowen booked and should prove too good for these, despite his 7lb penalty. Times Are Green finished 11 lengths behind the selection on his latest outing and looks the main danger again, while Jackpot Cauveliere can fight it out for the minor honours.Prediction : 1st The Price Of Peace 2nd Times Are Green 3rd Jackpot Cauveliere
14:45 Chepstow
The O'Neill stable won this in 2022 and have chances again here with Imperial Bede, who has only taken one race over fences but ran well in defeat on numerous occasions. He can go well on his return off this mark, but SOUTHOFTHEBORDER is preferred. Third in a better race at Ascot last month, he races off 2lb lower here and could give Henrietta Knight another winner. Stratagem is also of interest with the going in his favour on his second start for Mickey Bowen. Prediction : 1st Southoftheborder 2nd Imperial Bede 3rd Stratagem
15:20 Chepstow
NORTHERN SYMPHONIE was pulled up last time out at Sandown but that was on far softer ground and she is better judged on her three wins on a faster surface. Although she stays further, the six-year-old may well make this a test of stamina on the front end and could prove hard to catch. Shuil Ceoil showed signs of a return to form when third at Uttoxeter and he could be interesting sporting a first-time visor, with Tzarmix and Hidor De Bersy others to consider.Prediction : 1st Northern Symphonie 2nd Shuil Ceoil 3rd Tzarmix
15:55 Chepstow
The majority of these are seeing a racecourse for the first time, though COOL CUSTOMER is one of the exceptions. A head second in a Ballyknock point-to-point, he made his debut under Rules in a Southwell bumper when filling the same position, beaten close to five lengths, and has every chance to put his form and experience to good use now. Trojan Tale looks interesting with Harry Cobden booked to ride, as do Telescope gelding Ramblingamblinman and Dukeboxrock for Rebecca Curtis.Prediction : 1st Cool Customer 2nd Trojan Tale 3rd Ramblingamblinman
