The selection only faded late on last time out at Cheltenham, and has already won this season for his current stable.
Trip suits, and although already qualified for the Pertempts final at the Cheltenham Festival, can go close in this 15k prize for a team keeping the revs up in the champion trainers title race.
Silviniaco Conti Chase

He’s the outsider of the four runners, but with Kalif Du Berlais having something to prove, Edwardstone now aged 12, and Boombawn well beat last time out, he may cause the upset.
He was well beat in the King George but travelled on the coattails of the placed horses until the home bend.

That was obviously a very deep race, but had been just denied in a Grade 1 at Aintree behind the classy Found A Fifty back in Novice company, and has stayed on in races over shorter trips of late.
He was second in an Old Roan Chase over this trip when rallying, and the trip won’t be an issue, so here’s hoping some former class can shine in this small field (bolted up in a Grade 2 chase here in past).

Lanesborough has won as he liked the last twice, including last time out at Doncaster when beating subsequent winner Williethebuilder with ultimate ease.
Country Park could come there swinging off a light weight, with glimmers of “better yet to come”, he looks fairly handicapped.
The team are in form now, and they having runners in other races on the card, so hopefully he runs here for the bigger price than the smaller engagements he has elsewhere.
