Tip 1: Riddikulus - 1pt

With only six runners and both Sunday Sinatra and Family Values out of the handicap, this looks a good opportunity for RIDDIKULUS (best priced at 5/1) to make a winning handicap debut. The Grant Tuer trained filly ran with credit on her three starts at this track in novice company but it was interesting that the trip she ran over decreased from a mile to 6f.

Riddikulus now steps back in trip to 1m2f for the first time off an opening mark of 55 which should suit much better being by Ulysses out of a Mastercraftsman mare.

Tip 2: Kurasso Blue - 1pt

Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy remain in superb form and KURASSO BLUE (best priced at 1/1) should be able to continue that trend. The five-year-old gets a handy 8lbs from his main market rivals in this race despite his superior rating of 138.

Kurasso Blue has proven stamina winning over 2m7f on heavy ground at Punchestown last time and the runner-up Ballygunner Castle was still going well when falling 4 out in a competitive beginners chase at the same track on New Year’s Eve. Even just a repeat of that effort should be good enough to follow up here.
