GEE FORCE FLYER was beaten at odds-on at Ffos Las, but that was still a promising effort. Olly Murphy's gelding may have more to offer and appears to be the safest pick in an open event. Mondoui'boy was purchased for 115,000 pounds after filling sixth place in a competitive Punchestown bumper in May and he has to be noted. Others to consider are Sutherland and Kilwaughter.
Prediction : 1st Gee Force Flyer 2nd Mondouiboy 3rd Sutherland

The unexposed MOON PHASES was only beaten a neck into second on his chasing debut at Kelso in November and he should be hard to beat with the benefit of that experience. Pepe Le Moko was also narrowly denied on his most recent outing and could prove to be the main threat, while Bank On Frank and A Great Excuse are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Moon Phases 2nd Pepe Le Moko 3rd Bank On Frank

WADE OUT was a hard ride for Sean Bowen, but he ultimately came out well on top when winning a Listed novice chase over 3m1f at Cheltenham in November. That level of performance would give him a big chance in this company, despite having to carry a 5lb penalty. Laurens Bay disappointed at Sandown but it is far too soon to be writing him off, while Moon Rocket and Doyen Quest are others with strong claims.
Prediction : 1st Wade Out 2nd Laurens Bay 3rd Moon Rocket

SOLDIER'S LEAP might have gone up 14lb after wins at Stratford and Uttoxeter but he is still of low mileage and, therefore, has the potential to kick on. Jack Andrews was in the saddle for those victories and the 3lb claimer retaining the ride establishes continuity for another step forward. Kelijoe was a cosy winner at Doncaster and he warrants close inspection off 7lb higher. The consistent Three Pikes and At The Oche are each-way options.
Prediction : 1st Soldiers Leap 2nd Kelijoe 3rd Three Pikes

Myretown and Resplendent Grey were both well fancied for the Coral Gold Cup. Not for the first time, the former took a crashing fall when leading but he remains with significant potential judged on his Ultima success at Cheltenham and a clear round would see him bang in contention. Resplendent Grey's Newbury effort is worth forgiving as the standing start cost him and the step back up in trip will certainly suit. That said, it wouldn't be at all surprising to see the classy L'HOMME PRESSE back to winning ways after the 11-year-old made a pleasing return in a Cheltenham handicap, staying on well in the closing stages after losing his position. Becher runner-up Mr Vango and the third Val Dancer are also respected.
Prediction : 1st LHomme Presse 2nd Myretown 3rd Resplendent Grey

LUD'OR boasted some decent maiden/novice hurdle form last season and returned with a very impressive display at Bangor. The six-year-old was not at all disgraced when third to a progressive rival at Newbury following a 13lb rise and may well have more to offer now stepping up in trip. Tranquil Sea is already qualified to run in the final of this contest and will need his handicap mark to rise if he is to take up that opportunity. He gained vital experience of Cheltenham when sixth there last month and is capable of better, while the handicapper has given Botox Has a chance by dropping him 3lb after his latest effort.
Prediction : 1st Ludor 2nd Tranquil Sea 3rd Botox Has

LOCH NESS PINEAU changed hands for 100,000 pounds following his success between the flags in Ireland and makes plenty of appeal on his debut for the Ben Pauling stable. His dam won an AQPS race over 1m4f in France so it would be no surprise if he had the requisite speed for this discipline. Diamond Street looks an interesting newcomer on paper and he is respected along with Country Pursuits.
Prediction : 1st Loch Ness Pineau 2nd Diamond Street 3rd Country Pursuits
