The betting could prove a good guide to the chances of Fire Warning, a 340,000-euro French recruit who finished runner-up to a subsequent winner at Auteuil in October, but BESPOKE TAILOR shades the verdict. He certainly appears to bring the best UK form to the table and should go very close to landing the spoils. In receipt of weight all round, smart Flat performer Square D'alboni adds further spice to the race on his debut for Dan Skelton.

A race of this nature looks well within his compass and he gets the vote ahead of penalised winner Apollon Forlonge. The Warren Greatrex-trained grey had little difficulty in scoring at Taunton and another bold bid is forecast. Matiwo fell at Cheltenham, but is worth a second look in these calmer waters.

Buckna continued on his upward trajectory when completing a double at Hereford and he's sure to prove popular in his current vein of form. However, this looks more competitive and he may be worth taking on from a 7lb higher figure. CAPTAIN BOUDET left his seasonal debut behind when finishing a good second at the Herefordshire venue and he tops the list. Unexposed duo Taita Hills and Top Target add further spice to the mix.

Given that he holds an official rating of 87 on the level, a current hurdling mark of 112 looks well within range.
