15:00 Windsor – TAKE NO CHANCES - 1pt

10/3 (generally) | 1pt WIN

Just the five runners for this event with the vote going to TAKE NO CHANCES. The Skelton’s did well at this fixture last season and this mare must have strong claims. She’s a model of consistency and had held her form well in defend since defeating the high-class Kargese in a Grade 2 event at Ascot in January last year.

She placed in two Grade 1s at the Cheltenham and Aintree Festival and ran an awesome race on her second start back when a neck-second to Strong Leader in a Grade 2 event at Wetherby. I also liked her latest third in the Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury, so with her sights significantly lowered, she makes serious appeal.

15:35 Windsor – LIVE CONTI - 0.5 ew

10/1 (generally) | 0.5pt EW

Plenty to consider in this wide-open handicap with two recommending at each-way odds. The first one is LIVE CONTI, who could just be better than this mark on handicap debut and has seemingly been targeted at this valuable contest.

I was going to highlight last year’s third Knickerbockerglory, but the fact that Harry Skelton has chosen this unexposed runner instead must mean he thinks he can win this event, which bodes well from a betting stance.

The rain will be in his favour and he should be fit after his comeback run at Ascot last month. I don’t think a mark of 142 is beyond him judged on his second in a Grade 1 at Aintree last April, so he’s one to be interested in.

15:35 Windsor – SPECTACULAR SUNRISE - 0.5 ew

16/1 (generally) | 0.5pt EW

SPECTACULAR SUNRISE has taken well to hurdles, winning two of his four starts and was unfortunate to bump into an above-average prospect at Chepstow last month.

He had previously bolted up on handicap bow at Kelso and should get an ideal setup. The six-year-old represents a stable that does well in similar events, so at fair odds, I want him on my team too.

14:25 Windsor – HOLLYGROVE CHA CHA - 2 pts

2/1 (generally) | 2pts WIN | NAP

I am really strong on the claims of HOLLYGROVE CHA CHA who rates the standout best bet on the card.

This Grade 2 hurdle-winning mare built on her promising chase debut third at Carlisle to return a comfortable winner at Exeter when last seen and I’m honestly struggling to see her beaten here.

I don’t think a pull in the weights for either the reopposing Bluey nor All The Glory will be enough to turn the tables on the selection, and a mark of 129 looks extremely lenient too.
