FUGITIF isn’t getting any younger, but he’s dangerously well handicapped if he can turn in one of his best efforts, as he’s down to a mark of 140 and that’s well within his capabilities.
His last win was achieved off a figure of 151 and he’s placed off similar in valuable handicaps, so if the recent wind surgery has a positive impact, I’m hopeful he’ll go well and outrun his odds.

The feature race has serious depth but I’ll roll the dice with THISTLE ASK. He will of course need a new personal best to see off three high-class opponents, but he’s improving with every run and there’s a good chance he will be allowed a soft lead.
I think he is a bit more speedier than both Jonbon and Gidleigh Park and Harry Skelton might be allowed to control the pace. I know the nine-year-old has a bit to find on ratings, but he‘s having the season of his life and is available at a juicy price.
