King Chaos is 3lb better off with Golspie for a three-quarter-length C&D defeat just before Christmas and arrives in winning form after justifying favouritism over the extended 1m4f here. Jack Sparowe and Prince Achille are very much in contention, but another chance is given to SELENIC. Sir Mark Prescott's filly struck traffic at a crucial stage on her handicap bow at Southwell and a clearer passage throughout the race could allow her to make amends.
Prediction : 1st Selenic 2nd King Chaos 3rd Jack Sparowe

Cara Tuke has struck up a good partnership with SUPERIOR COUNCIL and Iain Jardine's course regular maintained his excellent consistency when pipped last time. He is much more effective at 6f, but should see out the extra furlong and is suited by the conditions of this race. Green Valentine and Ring Of Gold share the top rating of 50 with the selection, but aren't in anything like the same sort of form so Sir Maxi and Rory could be the ones for the places.
Prediction : 1st Superior Council 2nd Sir Maxi 3rd Rory

STARRYFIELD was odds-on to better his encouraging Doncaster debut on his return over 6f here, only to be put in his place by what will probably turn out to be a classy colt. The son of Starspangledbanner clearly possesses a good level of ability and can make it third-time lucky. Dandy Breeze went very close to making a successful beginning to his career over C&D and has to be feared. Egotistical should build on her Southwell third, and Mad Dash can't be ruled out either.
Prediction : 1st Starryfield 2nd Dandy Breeze 3rd Egotistical

AISLING OSCAR has been a revelation since joining the Adrian Keatley team and made it five wins on the bounce - all at this venue - over 7f last week. That was an apprentices' race so he escapes a penalty and he can continue on his merry way. The runner-up seven days ago had previously denied Little Ted in a head-bobbing finish over the same C&D and Tim Easterby's veteran could make a race of it. Tasever, Rogue Officer and Sea Legend have place claims.
Prediction : 1st Aisling Oscar 2nd Little Ted 3rd Tasever

SILKY WILKIE showed improved form when reverting to the all-weather at Lingfield a fortnight ago and if building on that third over this trip, the Karl Burke-trained seven-year-old could strike off bottom weight. Betsen got there just in time to spring a surprise at Southwell and another bold showing looks assured, while it's also worth keeping a close eye on Badri and Coachello.
Prediction : 1st Silky Wilkie 2nd Betsen 3rd Badri

Apart from one slightly lacklustre effort here before Christmas, TEARDROPS has made winning over C&D look fairly easy and there is likely more to come from this progressive sprinter. Penalised for last week's success, Richard Spencer's charge can continue on an upward trajectory and thwart Spartan Fighter's hat-trick bid in the process. If they go hard up front, Ana Emaraaty could be staying on late for at least a place.
Prediction : 1st Teardrops 2nd Spartan Fighter 3rd Ana Emaraaty

ECO POWER BOY has done well since returning to all-weather duty and built on an encouraging C&D fifth when taking the silver medal here on New Year's Day. On that evidence, it won't be long before he wins a race of this nature. Of the others, Instant Bond and Ramon Di Loria are closely matched and Yorkshire Glory is usually thereabouts.
Prediction : 1st Eco Power Boy 2nd Ramon Di Loria 3rd Yorkshire Glory

If DIGITAL handles the quick turnaround, he might be able to go one place better than last week's neck second over C&D. He's holding his form well and will be ridden positively. Our Absent Friends has had a small break since winning here 35 days ago and commands respect along with the second Ganesha, who also finished runner-up here the time before.
Prediction : 1st Digital 2nd Our Absent Friends 3rd Ganesha
