The fact that Eireann Cagney rode VIZZAVONA LADY to glory at Kempton a week ago is a huge positive and she can follow up in this amateur jockeys’ handicap. The Jack Jones trained four-year-old ran won at Wolverhampton in October off a mark of 57 and had dropped down to a mark of 59 when winning by 1 ¼ lengths last time.
Vizzavona Lady settled much better for Eireann Cagney that day and she races here off only a 3lb higher mark. Hopefully she does the same despite racing over 1f further and she looks the one to beat if doing so.

Hopefully all eight runners remain in this 0–60 handicap as it looks difficult to see THE DEFIANT finishing out of the first three. The Luke Dace trained ten-year-old has a good record at Lingfield with three wins and a further seven placed efforts.
The Defiant finished 2nd behind Gogo Yubari over this course and distance at the start of the month and that rival went on to win her next two starts and is now rated 18lbs higher. The Defiant runs here off the same mark and should run well once again.

The Rod Millman trained BILLY MILL now steps up in grade having won over this course and distance last time but he still remains well handicapped off only a 5lb higher mark. The eight-year-old was returning from a 147-day break last time and the concern was that he had previously run poorly after a break.
Billy Mill was last seen on the AW when winning over 7f here in May off a mark of 75 so the handicapper had given him a chance dropping him to a mark of 68 in only six runs. He runs here off a mark of 73 so he is still well handicapped and he looks overpriced as a result.
