Ryder heads to Kempton with two strong angles in the evening handicaps.

17:30 KEMPTON – SOUTHBANK – 1pt WIN
Best odds 13/8 available at time of publishing.
The Chris Gordon trained SOUTHBANK (best priced at 9/4) finished 2nd behind an in-form rival last time at Lingfield and he should prove hard to beat off the same mark. The five-year-old won over this course and distance off a mark of 54 in October so the return to this track will be no disadvantage.
The booking of Simon Walker to ride in this Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap is a positive and he should be able to get a good position from Stall 5.

18:30 KEMPTON – PAVE THE WAY – 1pt WIN
Best odds 11/2 available at time of publishing.
PAVE THE WAY (best priced at 11/2) defied odds of 40/1 to win over this course and distance a fortnight ago in first-time blinkers and she can hopefully follow up off only a 2lb higher mark. The four-year-old was previously 0-12 in her career but as a result had dropped down to a career low mark of 48.
Ridden by Jack Mitchell for the first time, Pave The Way stayed on strongly at the finish the win by a narrow margin. The third Homme De Fer finished 3rd yesterday at Wolverhampton to give some substance to the form and Pave The Way looks overpriced to follow up her recent victory.
