YEATS STAR – 1 Pt EW
MINELLA SIXO – 1 Pt EW
YEATS STAR – 1 Pt EW @ 40/1 (generally 5 places, 6 places in 365/Sky/Boyle)
MINELLA SIXO – 1 Pt EW @ 66/1 (generally 5 places, 6 places in 365/Sky/Boyle)
I haven’t changed my mind from the Oddschecker Podcast a few days ago here. I’ve gone with two Gordon Elliott outsiders, with points to prove.
Firstly, Yeats Star was a very good fast-finishing 3rd in this 2 years ago off around this mark. He has been inconsistent since then but has a couple of decent runs over fences that would put him in here with a chance. He has soft/heavy ground form as well, which is critical as we’ve seen yesterday. We’re getting the price here to take a chance that he can come back to form.

In addition, Minella Sixo was a very promising novice, who got within 4 lengths of The Big Westerner, on soft ground at Limerick. He was disappointing in probably too fast a race at Cheltenham and fences didn’t suit him later. He had a break and a first run out this season, albeit disappointing, but he has the back class to have a great chance if ready to go in an ideal race.

MORE COKO – 1 Pt WIN
DRUMGILL – ½ Pt EW
MORE COKO – 1 Pt WIN @ 7/1
DRUMGILL – ½ Pt EW @ 33/1 (generally and up to 40/1, 4 places)
When I watched the Dan Moore handicap last time, I said to myself, I’ll be with More Coko next time. He somehow found a lot in the finish after running far too free for the whole race. He only needs to settle a bit better to have a great chance. He is also better off with the winner of that race.
In addition, I’ll go with a small each-way bet on Drumgill, who is a huge price. He has been a busy horse this year whose form has worked out. I think he is capable enough off this increased mark to get involved here at a big price.

LECKY WATSON - 1pt E/W
I've been looking at this trying to find an angle , as there are several big, priced options.
I've come down on Lecky Watson, as I feel his last run was better than his finishing position. He is one of last year's top novices and looks to be improving in his 2 runs this year.
He is worth and ew bet here. I would certainly be going with the 4 place bookies here, as that's a big advantage over the standard 3.
