After losing his unbeaten record at Sandown, SOBER GLORY bounced back to score in fine style over C&D. Likely market rival Kadastral was no match for the son of Mount Nelson off level weights at Chepstow back in November, and a 4lb pull is unlikely to be enough given the rate at which the Hobbs/White gelding is improving. Fantasy World was a useful stayer on the Flat so it'll be interesting to see how he fares now sent hurdling. Prediction : 1st Sober Glory 2nd Kadastral 3rd Fantasy World

This is open and a chance can be taken on KAPAL LAYAR. Olly Murphy's charge found real progress at the start of his hurdling career but has struggled since returning in November. However, his seasonal reappearance can be forgiven and he had excuses at Ascot latest. The Milan gelding now sport a first-time tongue-tie/cheekpieces combination having undergone wind surgery last month, whilst he could find progress at this longer trip. A Pai De Nom was far from disgraced in the Lanzarote and must be given the utmost respect, as must Below The Radar. Spare a thought for Crebilly too who, although well below-par of late, has become far too well treated to ignore. Prediction : 1st Kapal Layar 2nd A Pai De Nom 3rd Below The Radar

Haiti Couleurs put his Betfair Chase blip behind him to land the Welsh National in fine style and although the gelding will be eyeing loftier targets come the spring, landing this prize would only strengthen his claims. That said, it might pay to side with L'HOMME PRESSE on this occasion. Venetia Williams' veteran rolled back the years to finish an excellent second in the Cotswold and, if able to find that rhythm out in front once again, he might be tough to reel in. Leave Of Absence can chase the pair home ahead of Riskintheground. Prediction : 1st LHomme Presse 2nd Haiti Couleurs 3rd Leave Of Absence

Nicky Henderson is no stranger to running a top-class novice in this contest as a preparation for the Cheltenham Festival, with Sprinter Sacre (2012) and Altior (2017) both hugely impressive before landing the Arkle, and LULAMBA bids to follow his illustrious stablemates. The five-year-old made the perfect start to life over fences at Exeter before underlining his class in the Henry VIII at Sandown and the sky appears to be the limit. Saint Segal has looked a reformed character in the past 12 months, with Thistle Ask being the only horse to beat him on his last five starts. Master Chewy won this prize last year and sports a first-time visor, but he does face a stiff enough task giving 5lb to the selection and 6lb to the remainder.Prediction : 1st Lulamba 2nd Saint Segal 3rd Master Chewy
15:20 Newbury
Let It Rain caught the eye on her handicap debut when returning at Ascot just before Christmas and shaping as though she would improve plenty for the outing. She can reverse placings with Dance And Glance (winner) and All In You (second), with the pair having backed that form up when the latter gained his revenge at Sandown a fortnight later, but the vote goes to UN SENS A LA VIE. Nigel & Willy Twiston-Davies' charge follows a tried and tested route, with all three of the yard's previous winners having been novices, and the six-year-old, who chased home the exciting Old Park Star on his penultimate start at Kempton, may well be fairly treated off a mark of 130. Tutti Quanti won the Gerry Feilden over C&D and commands respect along with Lanesborough, who finished fifth in the Lanzarote.Prediction : 1st Un Sens A La Vie 2nd Let It Rain 3rd Tutti Quanti
15:55 Newbury
Having got the better of a subsequent winner over 2m4f here in December, KNIGHT OF ALLEN ran as well as expected when finishing fourth in a novice chase at Cheltenham on New Year's Day. The six-year-old should prove more competitive reverting to handicap company and he's taken to regain the winning thread. Course winner Jig's Forge likely has better days ahead of him as well and may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of the hat-trick seeking Silver Thorn.Prediction : 1st Knight Of Allen 2nd Jigs Forge 3rd Silver Thorn

RISKY OBSESSION looked one to follow when scooting away on his Rules bow at Warwick 38 days ago. Dan Skelton's charge had previously landed a point-to-point and he could take this en route to a tilt at the Champion Bumper. Governors Rock impressed when completing a double at Ballinrobe for his previous trainer in September and he's not taken lightly on his stable debut for Warren Greatrex. A Likeable Rogue and No Walkover are others of interest.Prediction : 1st Risky Obsession 2nd Governors Rock 3rd A Likeable Rogue
