Trac 9/1 (0.5pt ew)
The Micky Hammond trained TRAC (best priced at 9/1) won last time in first-time blinkers and despite a 5lb rise from the handicapper, he drops into an easier grade of race. The nine-year-old had run well on his reappearance when 2nd at Kelso before disappointing at the same track on his next start.
Trac then won last time at Newcastle back up in trip to 2m4f in first-time blinkers in a Class 4 0-120 handicap. He now runs in this Class 4 0-110 handicap off top weight off a 5lb higher mark but looks overpriced at current odds.

Keppel Queen 5/2 (1pt)
Another top weight who is dropping in grade is KEPPEL QUEEN (best priced at 5/2) who should appreciate the return to a right-handed track. The seven-year-old had finished 2nd four times when trained by Jonjo & A J O’Neill before winning a weak maiden hurdle at Warwick on his reappearance and stable debut for Olly Murphy.
Keppel Queen has jumped poorly (mostly when jumping right-handed) when a beaten favourite on her next two starts but those have been at Uttoxeter and Plumpton and she now runs at a right-handed track for only the second time. Her only other start was here in November 2024 when 2nd beaten only ½ length in a handicap hurdle off a 5lb lower mark.
