DOUBLE DIGITS had plenty in hand when winning easily over C&D a couple of weeks ago and a 7lb rise is unlikely to prevent him from following up in a race of this nature. The rest all have questions to answer, but Glen Road has already won twice this season and should not be discounted. Coup De Coeur is also noted.

A winner over fences two starts ago, Forged Well has to be noted now switched to hurdles, while Dwight K Schrute has been running well in defeat. That said, it is hard to oppose BALLIN BAY, who made all over C&D a couple of weeks ago and is only 3lb higher. First-time cheekpieces may spark further improvement and the eight-year-old can make it a double.

DEFENCE WITNESS returned to winning ways at Catterick when staying on strongly in the closing stages and a 4lb rise is unlikely to inconvenience him, especially in a contest where all of his rivals have something to prove. Getaway Glory was well behind the selection on that occasion, but finished second over C&D before an extended break and a repeat of that would see him in the mix. Ballydangan completes the shortlist.

DEARKEITHANDKATY gained his first victory over 3m at Musselburgh at the start of the month and the drop back to 2m4f doesn't appear likely to stop him from taking another step forward. Avalon Beach has run with credit on his last couple of outings and has to enter the reckoning. Others to note include Thank You Blue and A Mere Bagatelle.
