Racing Lee picked out a 5/1 winner on Friday and he's back with six best bets across Saturday's cards.
1:10 Kempton
1:10 Kempton - ROYAL INFANTRY
(0.5pt EW 3 places @ 15/2)
The form of his latest run was solid against graded horses, and only finish four lengths off Potters Charm, even though the form reads fifth of five.
Two starts back he tried chasing, and the winner was Six Mile Bridge, but that would have been a tough task now we’ve seen Six Mile Bridge win a Grade 1 subsequently.
He ran fifth in a Grade 1 at Aintree behind Salvator Mundi and Romeo Coolio last season, and finished second to Kiss Will in a Listed race.
He ran in the ultra competitive Silver Trophy on return, before running fourth at Cheltenham behind Lavender Hill Mob.
The form is there for all to see, and hopefully his mark isn’t too high in reflecting that.
But, he’s won on heavy and soft, and is a point-to-point winner at this trip.
The team continue in good form, and he is the choice of Harry Skelton’s from the stables two runners.
1:35 Newcastle
1:35 Newcastle - OUR LAURA B
(0.5pt EW 5 places @ 13/2)
Has won here off higher a couple of times (five pounds below last winning mark), and returned with an encouraging effort after wind survey when last seen to take third spot, and suggests the falling mark maybe taken advantage of today after that good return after a break.
Two time winner at this track, both over this trip.
Monopoly Sports
Newcastle 14:43
2:43 Newcastle - DOM OF MARY
(1pt WIN @ 10/1)
*Please note, have already put up Anglers Crag for the race ante-post, but wanted to add in Domof Mary.
Who stays very well, and seen off Zertakt two starts ago here, who went on to win at Cheltenham and beat two subsequent winners, including a Grade 2 winner.
Form looks strong, and that was over three-mile-six at this track, and won going away.
Has since ran in the Welsh National, but can be forgiven and back here may have always been the plan on just his fourth start for his current stable.
3:40 Chepstow
3:40 Chepstow - DR TJ ECKELBURG
(1pt WIN @ 15/8)
Went close at Sandown last time out when staying on behind a decent rival, won this off five pounds higher last season, and can regain the crown if in the same form.
3:58 Newcastle
3:58 Newcastle - MY NOBLE LORD
(1pt WIN @ 4/1)
Multiple flat winner for Michael Bell before being highly tried over hurdles.
Just three runs to date over fences, winning last time out.
Raised four pounds, but that’s could prove lenient as looked to have more left in the tank.
4:05 Kempton
4:05 Kempton - CALIFET EN VOL
(1pt WIN @ 9/4)
A classy hurdler who won a Listed contest prior to running sixth in a Grade 1 at Aintree when sent off favourite.
He had finished second in a deep race behind Turners winner The New Lion, with in behind recent winners Electric Mason and French Ship.
On debut he had won as he liked at this track over hurdles, but experience was needed on chase debut.
He finished second to subsequent Grade 1 winner Six Mile Bridge next time out.
He moved into handicaps after two fair displays against classy types, but had to go wide and couldn’t get into a rhythm.
The experience would have helped as he looked to be learning each time, and here’s hoping today is the day when it clicks back together at a track he’s won at.
