A wide draw coupled with a 5lb penalty could scupper the chances of Woodhay Whisper and although that won't be the case for hat-trick seeker Midnight Call, more is required back in a handicap. Both merit respect nonetheless, as does Running Cool, but ALBERT CEE is preferred. The son of Aclaim found only a subsequent winner too strong over C&D last time out and makes considerable appeal from an unchanged mark.
Prediction : 1st Albert Cee 2nd Woodhay Whisper 3rd Midnight Call

The form of Tenzi's debut third at Goodwood reads well now and although she disappointed at Ffos Las next time, soft ground might have counted against her. Lara Antipova, Calling A Star and Angela's Baar have each achieved a decent level so far too and can be expected to be on the premises, but a chance is taken on RING OF DIAMONDS. The Territories filly fetched 33,000gns as a yearling and given that the James Tate outfit know how to ready one, a big run would come as no surprise.
Prediction : 1st Ring Of Diamonds 2nd Tenzi 3rd Lara Antipova

CITY QUEEN was seemingly the stable's second string when making her debut at Newmarket in August, but she did at least make an encouraging start. The daughter of Dubawi already looked in need of a step up in trip on that occasion and now afforded just that, she can take the necessary step forward. Summer Heat is capable but will need a little more to claim gold, whilst Pendella appeals most of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st City Queen 2nd Summer Heat 3rd Pendella

VON KROLOCK resumed winning ways when sent off favourite for a classified event here recently. James Owen's charge landed a handicap over C&D back in November and, with Ashley Lewis claiming 5lb to aid his cause, he could be the one to side with. River Wharfe is another to consider returning to 7f, while Bad Habits scored here in December and has held his form well since.
Prediction : 1st Von Krolock 2nd River Wharfe 3rd Bad Habits

BELIEVE IN LIES has yet to add to August's Carlisle success, but gave the impression she would be doing so sooner rather than later when third over C&D a fortnight ago. Beaten less than a length on that occasion, another strong challenge is expected from the daughter of Make Believe. Faster Bee finally opened his account with a recent victory here, but King of The Dance makes more appeal off his current mark.
Prediction : 1st Believe In Lies 2nd King of The Dance 3rd Faster Bee

WATERFORD CASTLE was thought good enough to compete in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last summer. The son of Sea The Stars was switched to George Boughey's yard recently and could be worth chancing on his return to action having also been gelded. Several of the newcomers are worth a second look, notably Spangled Impact, who is a half-brother to a Group 3 winner. He is preferred to both Crown Relic and Street Dancer.
Prediction : 1st Waterford Castle 2nd Spangled Impact 3rd Crown Relic

This won't take much winning and the vote goes to DESIDERATA, who chased home an in-form rival in a similar C&D event earlier this month. Many of these arrive with something to prove, so Thomas Faulkner's charge must hold every chance of going one place better. Man Is King disappointed at Lingfield but did win at Chelmsford on his penultimate start. Change Of Fortune is next best.
Prediction : 1st Desiderata 2nd Man Is King 3rd Change Of Fortune

20:00 Wolverhampton

Just as was the case in the first division of this contest, there are a few that will need to step forward on what they have shown recently. GRAND HARBOUR put a string of lacklustre efforts behind him to finish a creditable fourth at Lingfield latest, though, and whilst favoured at the weights a replication might suffice. Chourmo and Dash Power are feared most.
Prediction : 1st Grand Harbour 2nd Chourmo 3rd Dash Power

BERKSHIRE SCHMOKIN ran fresh on his first start since September when finishing only fourth at Chelmsford. He should settle better with that pipe-opener under his belt and looks one to keep on the right side of with Andrew Balding's yard firing on all cylinders. Attention Seeker is another likely improver based on last year's best efforts, while Montu is an unexposed type worthy of a second glance.
Prediction : 1st Berkshire Schmokin 2nd Attention Seeker 3rd Montu
