BLOW YOUR WAD - 1pt EW 3 places
Best price 7/1 at the time of publishing.
Freddy Mitchell takes off a valuable three pounds, on the back of a Grade 1 third place last time out.
He ran on past Edwardstone to be third to Jonbon in the Ascot Chase on his stable debut.
He had been highly tried for his former yard, including when winning a Grade 2 Pendil Chase at Kempton.
He was beaten three lengths off two pounds lower last season, but taking in Freddie’s claim, he’s a pound lower than that.
He’s entered at the Cheltenham Festival, but this seems to be the next port of call if jockey bookings are looked at.
Of course, risks attached with ante-post betting, but I would have had him shorter than this if he runs, even with all the current field declared.
