The Ed Walker trained POPMASTER (best priced at 6/4) won for the first-time in his career over a mile last time and he should arguably be suited by this drop back to 7f. The eight-year-old has been running consistently well on the AW this winter and reversed form with The Lost King last time at this track under a clever ride by Tom Marquand.

The handicapper has raised Popmaster 3lbs for his latest success but connections have now booked talented 5lb claimer Ashley Lewis, who is 6/14 in the past fortnight, to negate that rise. Popmaster is tactically versatile which suits small fields and he should prove hard to beat.
