A step up to this trip has really brought out the best from MUY MUY LOCO, who recorded a second C&D success earlier this month. Simon Dow's charge is in a little deeper today but a 4lb rise looks fair and he is expected to continue his affinity with this track and trip. Beta Reader went down by a narrow margin last time and is of obvious interest, whilst Seventy could be dangerous if coping with an ease in distance.Prediction : 1st Muy Muy Loco 2nd Beta Reader 3rd Seventy

Many of these arrive in excellent form, so only a tentative vote can go to the Stuart Williams-trained HENRYTHENATE. The son of Mayson has really turned a corner since changing hands last month, winning comfortably over 5f here on two occasions, and a further 8lb hike might not stop the progressive three-year-old. Fellow hat-trick seeker Mr Juggles should be a threat, as should Lord Harcourt, whilst Saffron Dandy, Star Of Albion and Horace Wallace are others to consider. Prediction : 1st Henrythenate 2nd Mr Juggles 3rd Lord Harcourt

Mereside Diva got her revenge on Brazilian Rose at Newcastle last time and the pair should be closely matched once more, but it is PENELOPE VALENTINE that shades preference. James Owen's charge has found steady progress since joining from Alice Haynes in September. Her most recent success was the most impressive and she probably doesn't have much more to do, despite the rise in grade. Party Bear's saddle slipped latest and is no back number. Prediction : 1st Penelope Valentine 2nd Mereside Diva 3rd Brazilian Rose

Those at the top of the weights make most appeal, with narrow preference for the hat-trick seeking EL BODON. It's encouraging to see that he won his only previous visit here and recent Kempton victories show him to be going from strength to strength at present. Lakers' narrow defeat to Pocklington looks strong form, with that winner since going close in a similarly competitive Newcastle affair, and he should be in the shake-up again. Ferrous also warrants respect dropping out of Pattern company for the first time since winning at Gosforth Park in May last year. Prediction : 1st El Bodon 2nd Lakers 3rd Ferrous

ROARING LEGEND was an impressive five-length winner of this race 12 months ago and his last couple of placed efforts have been to a similar standard. He remains on a competitive mark, despite being 8lb higher than last year, and is fancied to successfully defend his crown. Enemy and Brasil Power weren't far behind the selection at Wolverhampton three weeks ago and could put up most resistance, although Solarize is certainly no back number off his light weight. Prediction : 1st Roaring Legend 2nd Enemy 3rd Brasil Power

WYLD BILL doesn't appear to have finished his progression based on his win over C&D earlier in the month when defying an 8lb rise for his Kempton success in December. The five-year-old only went up 2lb and makes plenty of appeal once again. Regal Ulixes shaped as though the run was needed when making his first appearance since Royal Ascot at Newcastle last month. Beylerbeyi has run with plenty of credit in two starts following his Cesarewitch victory underlining his versatility trip wise. He completes the shortlist.Prediction : 1st Wyld Bill 2nd Regal Ulixes 3rd Beylerbeyi

APIARIST may well have finished closer at Newcastle last time had he not been hampered at a crucial point and the use of Jack Callan's 5lb claim gives him every chance of getting his head back in front. Eupator was denied a hat-trick of victories at Wolverhampton on his latest outing but remains capable of being in the mix. Others for the shortlist are Legal Reform and Tiger Crusade.Prediction : 1st Apiarist 2nd Eupator 3rd Legal Reform
