The Cheltenham Festival of 2026 is now done and dusted, and we were treated to a seriously exciting week of racing. There were some fantastic results, with a number of smart new novices coming to the fore, and we also saw brand new winners crowned in each of the five championship races. The National Hunt scene certainly looks full of talent heading into the future.
Of course, we all love an ante-post punt when it comes to Cheltenham, and with this year’s Festival now behind us, plenty of people are already looking ahead to 2027.
I don’t usually get involved in ante-post markets this early, but I do want to put forward an Each Way Lucky 15 for you to have a go at nice and early, and then leave it alone until the new season begins.
Hopefully we can land on the right races and still be in with a chance when the next Cheltenham Festival rolls around.

Cheltenham Arkle Chase 2027 Tips
LEADER D’ALLIER - Arkle Chase 33/1
My first selection comes in the Arkle Chase, and at this early stage the market is understandably headed by the first three from this year’s Supreme Novices' Hurdle, Old Park Star, Sober Glory, and Mydaddypaddy.
They are the obvious place to start, but I’m looking for a bit of early value. One who could fit the bill is Leader D’Allier.
He was a non-runner on the day, but there were notable nibbles for him in the market beforehand, suggesting he was expected to run a decent race. Importantly, he was also the choice of Paul Townend, which implies he was considered the best of the available options from the Willie Mullins yard for the Closutton number one.
Of course, we’ll never know how he would have got on that day, but I did fancy him beforehand and it’s fair to assume he wouldn’t have been too far away based on the credentials he brings and the excellent record Mullins has in the race.
He looks a smart prospect and, if he does go chasing, he may not be far away from being the yard’s number one in this division next season.
At 33/1, I’m happy to take a chance on him at this stage.

Champion HurdleSee All Odds
Cheltenham Champion Hurdle 2027 Tips
KING RASKO GREY - Champion Hurdle 14/1
Next up is King Rasko Grey, the winner of the Turners Novices' Hurdle, and he looks like a horse who could go either way next season, either sticking to open hurdles or going novice chasing. Personally, I think he could be well suited to either route, but based on comments from Willie Mullins, the early indications suggest he could develop into a useful contender for the Champion Hurdle, which is notable.
Of course, Mullins already has the current champion Lossiemouth, but with the sheer depth of talent in his yard it’s very common for him to run multiple horses in the big races. King Rasko Grey showed a seriously powerful gallop all the way up the Cheltenham hill, and he appears to possess a lovely blend of speed and stamina.
His earlier run behind Talk The Talk didn’t quite work out from a form perspective after he disappointed in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, but King Rasko Grey himself clearly improved plenty from that effort.
He looks a straightforward horse who is going places, and one of the more likely novices capable of mixing it in a Champion Hurdle next season.

Cheltenham Brown Advisory 2027 Tips
ACT OF INNOCENCE - Brown Advisory 16/1
The runner-up behind King Rasko Grey was the Nicky Henderson trained Act Of Innocence, and he put in a serious performance on the day. Connections already have Old Park Star, who looks likely to go chasing over the two mile route, so Act Of Innocence may instead step up in trip for the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase, and he could turn out to be a very strong contender for that race.
He clearly has speed, but the way he stayed on up the hill at Cheltenham suggests there is plenty of stamina there as well. Over fences, he could easily turn into a monster. He travels well and looks like the type with plenty of scope for chasing. It’s entirely possible he could develop into a real star, and the Turners Novices' Hurdle may prove to be a very strong race in years to come, given the promise shown by both him and King Rasko Grey.

Cheltenham Gold Cup 2027 Tips
GAELIC WARRIOR - Cheltenham Gold Cup 4/1
The final leg of my 2027 Cheltenham Festival Lucky 15 will be this year’s Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Gaelic Warrior, who is currently as short as 5/2 for the race.
I wouldn’t necessarily suggest backing him as a single at that price, but considering the three selections I’ve already put forward are all double-figure odds, it makes sense to roll them onto the reigning champion if we’re fortunate enough to have a few winners by the time the Gold Cup comes around.
In this year’s renewal, Gaelic Warrior was simply outstanding and produced a breathtaking performance. He jumped his rivals into submission and never once looked like getting beat.
He travelled smoothly throughout, jumped superbly, and all of those jumping issues from his novice days now look well behind him. He’s a horse absolutely full of class, and if he arrives back at Cheltenham in one piece, he will take plenty of stopping in next year’s race. A serious talent!
