Dutch Corner and Constellation Walk have shown promise and are solid options for the shortlist, while Elusive Pb also has the potential to kick on and is one to monitor in the betting. However, MY BOY AARON took a big step forward on his previous hurdles form when a creditable third in a deeper race at Newbury and staying in maiden company could be a good move.
Prediction : 1st My Boy Aaron 2nd Dutch Corner 3rd Constellation Walk

Local Derby can be forgiven for unseating Freddie Gordon after surprising the rider by jumping the path in between flights at Fontwell. He can figure if bouncing back to the form of his Wincanton success. However, preference is for SPECIAL JOHN, who won over 3m here on similar ground in November, before following up Wincanton soon after. He drops back down in class now reverting to hurdles, after failing to complete the hat-trick last time out, and may be revived with first-time cheekpieces added. Loki's Mischief and Pop's Folly also warrant close inspection.
Prediction : 1st Special John 2nd Local Derby 3rd Lokis Mischief

Eton Mes was 7lb well in at Ffos Las most recently but failed to capitalise and looks vulnerable now his new mark has kicked in. Therefore, NOBLE BLUE could be more profitable to follow. A dogged second over C&D last month, this six-time point-to-point winner should be much wiser to the task in hand. Snapdance and Madajovy are both consistent and command respect. Ri Na Cuirte is a previous course winner to also consider.
Prediction : 1st Noble Blue 2nd Eton Mes 3rd Snapdance

A winner over these fences in January, BONZA BOY found one too good on testing going at Wincanton last time. Jeremy Scott's charge looks worthy of another chance off his current mark back on more suitable ground and is taken to resume winning ways. First Angel won nicely at Taunton at the start of 2025, but he will likely improve for this belated reappearance, so Sherborne could prove to be a bigger danger.
Prediction : 1st Bonza Boy 2nd Sherborne 3rd First Angel

Voleur De Terres landed a brace on testing ground last month and it remains to be seen if she's as effective on this faster surface raised 6lb. Getaway King's winning streak came to an abrupt end at Plumpton, but STEAL THE MOVES produced his best effort over fences so far when second at Ffos Las. Beaten only a length in first-time cheekpieces that day, there could be more to come in the headgear and the son of Leading Light gets the nod.
Prediction : 1st Steal The Moves 2nd Voleur De Terres 3rd Getaway King

INK BLACK HEART made a pleasing introduction at Wincanton in January of last year before chasing a subsequent Listed winner home at Wetherby on his stable bow in December. There are a few that could trouble the selection, namely Fine Tuning, but his form is by far the strongest on offer and minimal progress might suffice. The 130,000-euro purchase River Kwai warrants a market check ahead of his debut, while similar applies to point winner Eastern Rock.
Prediction : 1st Ink Black Heart 2nd Fine Tuning 3rd River Kwai

Enqarde sprang a shock to win at odds of 50-1 at Leicester three weeks ago but although respected this time, he might struggle conceding weight to MACKLIN. A seven-time winner between the flags, including a wide-margin success last month, the 10-year-old boasts the highest official rating and looks sure to go close. Crawter won a similar contest at Cheltenham in May and should not be underestimated with Paddy Barlow taking 3lb off his back.
Prediction : 1st Macklin 2nd Enqarde 3rd Crawter
