Possibly in an attempt to avoid his Haydock conqueror, he was upped in trip at the Cheltenham Festival and acquitted himself well in the Turners before the petrol gauge hit empty. This is a good opportunity for a nice little confidence boost and he remains a smart prospect. Winning pointer Cosmic Connection made a successful hurdling debut at Warwick and looks the one for the forecast, with Both Of Us a place chance.

TOUQUET found one too strong when attempting to add to a Huntingdon brace at Wincanton but there was no disgrace in finishing second, especially with the winner following up at Ascot last weekend. The Nick Gifford-trained seven-year-old still has plenty more to offer over fences and is preferred to Supreme George, who has done nothing wrong since completing a Catterick double but might just be in the handicapper's grip. Diligent Militia is unlikely to live up to his lofty price tag, although he might do better now chasing and handicapping.

Blow Your Wad has been running well of late, with a narrow defeat in the Greatwood Gold Cup followed by a fourth in the Ultima. A 4lb rise doesn't appear harsh, but whether he will be at his best after a relatively busy period remains to be seen. Soldierofthestorm has improved this season and got off the mark over fences at Sandown. He is respected off a 5lb higher mark, but BEN SOLO is preferred. The seven-year-old found the Jack Richards a step too far but the return to this level, along with the application of a tongue-tie, gives him strong credentials to bounce back.

SO YOU KNOW has progressed well over hurdles and steps up in trip after finishing second on his handicap debut at Warwick. The five-year-old is entitled to improve for it in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Authentic Legacy may have benefited from his return over fences at Newbury and is capable of being in the mix, while others to consider include It's Top and Beau Quali.

THE ITALIAN FOX had plenty in hand when winning over C&D last week and is hard to ignore back here under a penalty. That was only his second start in a handicap and a repeat dose could suffice in this weaker-looking race. Groom De Cotte hasn't had much racing over the past year or so, although the 10-year-old showed plenty of zest when second at Huntingdon most recently. He has gone well fresh and cannot be ruled out. Home And Dry and Galassian are each-way alternatives.

ORDER ON TIME was a respectable second on his only start on the Irish point-to-point scene and swapped hands for 200,000 pounds soon after. With a pedigree that crosses his Group 1-winning sire's Flat-race speed with stamina from the dam, there is plenty to like for a race of this nature. Louxor De Grugy should be wiser after his debut at Kempton and can figure, while the betting can guide where the likes of Winmeafortune and Chance A Glance are concerned.
