A first-time-out bumper winner last summer, SALSINHA finished a little over a length behind Cool Native when both mares made their hurdling debuts at Navan in November. Henry de Bromhead's five-year-old took a nice step forward when placed in a Listed contest at Thurles before Christmas and that is the strongest line of form in this maiden. Point-to-point winner Cool Native is an obvious danger, while Alliteration has solid placed form in this discipline and may improve for the application of headgear. Simply Natural made a good start over hurdles when second to a useful gelding here, but has a bit to find on that form.Prediction : 1st Salsinha 2nd Alliteration 3rd Simply Natural

Despite being 4lb out of the handicap, MAY CALL YOU BACK makes plenty of appeal off bottom weight. Willie Mullins' charge did well at a lower level last year and it looked like the extended 3m3f trip stretched her at Punchestown in February when she was a strong-travelling fifth in the Grand National Trial. That was a good effort against geldings and this distance will be more suitable. Ballybawn Belter, who landed a nice pot at Limerick over Christmas, also returns to mares-only company and her last two runs have been creditable. Bioluminescence has come down a few pounds and has to be respected in this grade, while there is a change of headgear for last year's winner Kiltealy Park.Prediction : 1st May Call You Back 2nd Bioluminescence 3rd Ballybawn Belter

VAUREAL was second in this a year ago and won a similar contest here in November. He's only 4lb higher than for his latest victory and regular rider Caragh Monaghan is once again on board. His last two outings have come in a cross-country contest and over hurdles, and connections have probably been aiming him at this race for some time. Kings Hill could have more to offer after winning at Limerick, while Harbour Highway is another going the right way after scoring at Leopardstown. Now tried in blinkers, Lucky Lyreen has to be respected on his defeat of subsequent Ulster National winner Born Braver two starts back.Prediction : 1st Vaureal 2nd Kings Hill 3rd Harbour Highway

SINE QUA NON ran well against race-fit rivals when third at Naas and can take this on his second run back after a layoff. The Masked Marvel gelding also showed plenty of ability in a bumper at Navan last year and, with that recent run under his belt, he can get off the mark under Rules. Petit Secret beat two smart horses in a bumper in 2023 and wasn't seen thereafter until being beaten at odds-on on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown last month. He is related to winning stayers and steps up in trip. With a rating of 125, He Can't Dance sets a fair standard. He drops in distance and is now tried in blinkers.Prediction : 1st Sine Qua Non 2nd Petit Secret 3rd He Cant Dance

From a very successful family, FILLYOUREYE put a poor run behind him when winning easily at Punchestown and should have more to offer. He could be well treated and his second to progressive mare Zanoosh in December is particularly strong form. Court Compliance is another who got off the mark at Punchestown last time and he looks likely to improve for stepping up to this trip. Towards the foot of the handicap, Found A Diamond should give each-way backers a good run. He is proven over this distance and has an edge in handicap experience over many of these.Prediction : 1st Fillyoureye 2nd Court Compliance 3rd Found A Diamond

The race didn't go to plan for KARBAU when he was sent off favourite for the County Hurdle and he can gain compensation, despite having to shoulder top weight. Held up off a moderate pace, the Cokoriko gelding could never land a blow but made late headway and it was a creditable display in the circumstances. Paul Townend keeps the faith and there is little doubt that he is on a good mark. Stablemate Murcia was disappointing in the County when well fancied herself, but this Grade 1 winner is capable of better. Powerful is progressive but is well up in grade, while Imperial Cup fourth Messerschmitt has a handy weight and is capable of a big run.Prediction : 1st Karbau 2nd Murcia 3rd Messerschmitt

For a Listed event, it's not the strongest of contests and SOME PRETENDER gets the vote, despite being overlooked by Patrick Mullins. After winning on debut at the Galway Festival, the six-year-old finished third in a pair of Listed races and her run at Navan in November is strong form. Mullins has elected to ride Wonderful Everyday, successful in the Goffs Defender Bumper at the Punchestown Festival but most disappointing in two starts since. Lizzie Twigg had Belladaball over seven lengths behind when winning at Down Royal, but had a hard enough race on debut. Lilannbee wasn't up to Grade 2 level at Leopardstown, but is not one to rule out in this company.Prediction : 1st Some Pretender 2nd Lilannbee 3rd Belladaball
