Horse: Square Du Roule

Trainer: Nigel Hawke

What caught the eye: The jockey booking was eye catching enough given that Nicholls had a runner in the same race yet Cobden chose this runner as his ride. He was the back marker throughout with a very patient ride and the horse seemed to have the ability to take up the runner at any given moment and that was exactly how the race played out and he won in facile fashion and with a sense of ease that could see him follow up again next time out.

When is he a bet: Could be one to run up a string of victories and worth a market check next time out.

What caught the eye: it was almost impossible to notice the big white blaze down his face as he came from out of picture in the final race at Lingfield on Good Friday to stay on really well finishing third. He had to come from widest of all travelling around horse horses on the final bend and was definitely one that caught the eye who could potentially win races going forward.

When is he a bet: He is below his last handicap mark and is certainly one to bear in mind for future handicap both on the all weather and on turf!
