Jack Kennedy could have ridden an outsider in the Topham at Aintree, but goes instead to Wexford for five rides and DUNLEER CRYSTAL is one of his best chances on the card. Placed in his first two starts over hurdles, the five-year-old steps up in trip and his half-brother was a winner over this distance. Ifallgoeswell has a lot of experience and makes a quick reappearance after a creditable run in a Cork handicap, but has to give 8lb to the less-exposed selection. All Night Revival is closely matched with Ifallgoeswell on their running at Gowran in January, while hurdling debutant The First Turn beat a useful mare when winning a good-ground bumper in October.
Prediction : 1st Dunleer Crystal 2nd Ifallgoeswell 3rd All Night Revival

CAPTAINS SPEECH won a point-to-point at this time of year in 2024 and was then absent until last month when a well-supported second on hurdling debut over this trip at Cork. The El Salvador gelding had a 120-rated rival back in third and the fourth won last time. As long as the ground doesn't dry out too much, he can take this for Henry de Bromhead. Le Moulin Rouge was placed here in the autumn and proved himself over this distance when second at Leopardstown over Christmas, where he finished in front of the selection's Cork conqueror. Green Angel has run two solid races over hurdles and may improve for this sounder surface.
Prediction : 1st Captains Speech 2nd Le Moulin Rouge 3rd Green Angel

SEAN MC was below par over further last time but had previously been second twice over this sort of trip when strongly supported. His six-time winning half-brother relished good ground and Paul Nolan's runner is taken to get off the mark at his local track. Teenage Kiss was placed over course and distance last summer and comes here in form, while Accustomed improved for the application of headgear when second in a big field at Down Royal and now has Jack Kennedy's assistance. Cowper Hall has a lot of weight, but was a facile winner of his most recent start in this discipline.
Prediction : 1st Sean Mc 2nd Teenage Kiss 3rd Accustomed

WALKS THE TALK stays this far and will enjoy getting back on a sound surface. John McConnell's mare won her first two starts over hurdles on decent ground in the autumn and chased home a progressive Paul Nicholls-trained gelding on her penultimate outing at Musselburgh. The youngest in the line-up, Agameoftwohalves won a maiden over 2m3f at Punchestown and it will be a surprise if this trip proves beyond him. Drying ground is a concern for Rocky's Howya who comes into this on a roll, while Long Branch is a dour stayer but may be on a high enough mark now.
Prediction : 1st Walks The Talk 2nd Agameoftwohalves 3rd Long Branch

Four of these sport the green and gold silks of JP McManus and THREE IN A ROW is chosen in the hope that he'll be suited by drying ground. It's surprising that he hasn't yet got his head in front over fences, but he couldn't have gone much closer at Punchestown on New Year's Eve and he was placed twice on decent ground this time last year. This is his optimum trip. Other McManus-owned runners with chances are Park Of Kings, who is potentially well handicapped in this sphere, and Harty Cup, who has been in good form over hurdles.
Prediction : 1st Three In A Row 2nd Park Of Kings 3rd Harty Cup

18:38 Wexford

A very good turnout for this veterans' contest and cases can be made for plenty of these stalwarts. Drying underfoot conditions will suit THE BANGER DOYLE, who was in good heart last summer and warmed up for this with a hurdles outing in February. Dont Go Yet and Krabat were placed in last year's renewal and both come here on the back of a win, while Caesar Rock ran well when second to Krabat at Limerick.
Prediction : 1st The Banger Doyle 2nd Krabat 3rd Caesar Rock

19:08 Wexford

Dermot McLoughlin had a quiet time over the winter, but Barry Lyndon ran well for him at Fairyhouse last weekend and both of his runners in this have shown a liking for Wexford. FINNIANS ROW won off this mark here last summer and his comeback run on soft ground last month will have served it's purpose. Malton Groove is a long-standing maiden and lacks a recent outing, but he was touched off in last year's renewal and is now 6lb lower. Chase debutant Rajjnatin is noted too.
Prediction : 1st Finnians Row 2nd Rajjnatin 3rd Malton Groove
