Not much of a standard set by those with experience and preference is for THAMES WATERMAN with that in mind. Richard Hughes' colt is a full-brother to Rajaking, who won his only juvenile start, and looks capable of going close from a handy berth. Quantum Swift is likely to prove popular given the stable he represents, as might Everatease, who hails from the second crop of A'Ali.

Ed Bethell has started the new season firing on all cylinders and it might take a useful performance to overhaul his representative CAIM. An impressive winner on her debut at Beverley before taking home the silver medal in a Listed contest at Newbury, she promises to be suited by longer trips this term and can rubber-stamp her Group-race credentials with victory here. Recent C&D winner Estissa is the obvious threat and while the others will need to find significant progress, Royal Poetry might be the pick of them.

Supreme King landed a hat-trick at the turn of the year and remains of interest. He placed at Chelmsford recently and should be in the thick of it once again, but PAPA COCKTAIL is marginally preferred. The latter scored over C&D in January and, having faced a tougher test here last time, Michael Herrington's sprinter looks worthy of another chance. An Outlaw's Grace is no forlorn hope returning to 6f and is preferred to Lazzar.

Everest came out just the best in a scrap to the line with Beaune in a classified contest at Lingfield. That pair look hard to separate once again, but the MOON OVER THE SEA is taken to edge affairs back at this venue. The latter bounced back with a placed effort in handicap company at Southwell recently and, allowed to race off an unchanged mark, Tony Carroll's charge is taken to add to his five previous victories at the track.

Plenty arrive with claims, but it could be DAYMAN's turn to get his head back in front. The son of Oasis Dream was caught close home when runner-up over C&D last time and is taken to gone one better and end a long losing run. Romanovich just got the better of Bad Habits here last time and that pair are closely matched, while Fistral Beach has won two of her last three starts and is not out of this either.

DELUDED is clearly well thought of by trainer Charlie Fellowes, having twice contested valuable races at York, and a mark of 74 does not look beyond him. Gelded since last sighted, and entering handicap company for the first time, he is expected to run a big race on return. Calling A Star made all to win her maiden over 6f here in February and has a definite chance moving back up in trip, while Newcastle scorer Tactical Blitz also warrants respect.

THREE SOCKS ON stayed on strongly to force a dead-heat on his handicap debut over 1m at Chelmsford and, with the promise of more to come over this longer trip, he gets the vote to defy a 1lb rise. Always A Saint steadily edged closer to the target in each novice start last year and has since been gelded. He and Adba, who wears first-time cheekpieces, enter the handicap ranks off an opening mark of 60 and could be competitive.
