Mahler Moon found one too strong in a three-runner Exeter affair when attempting to supplement a Huntingdon success earlier in the week and is turned out again quickly. Masterdream's winning spree came to an end at Plumpton and although he's been freshened up, he will need to jump better. SPECIAL JOHN couldn't capitalise on a lower hurdles mark, but he took well to fences prior to that. There was no disgrace in his fifth when sent off favourite at Windsor's Winter Million meeting and he can get back on track in this much less competitive event.
Prediction : 1st Special John 2nd Mahler Moon 3rd Masterdream

SINCHI ROCA, who occupied the runner-up berth in a Listed bumper, hasn't quite managed to fulfil the promise of his successful hurdling bow here. He came up well short on his only previous handicap appearance, but got back on track with a narrow Taunton defeat and is worth another chance. Byzantium is slipping back down to a workable rating and looks a bigger threat than Kitty Foyle, who has been off since a solid enough third at Kempton in November.
Prediction : 1st Sinchi Roca 2nd Byzantium 3rd Kitty Foyle

Second in a point-to-point, a bumper and on his hurdling debut, KILNEW SUPREME can make a deserved breakthrough. Paul Nicholls' five-year-old got closest to a short-price favourite over C&D and normal improvement should suffice. Siorai took a big step forward when chasing home a 1/6 shot at Stratford and will continue to progress as she gains experience. La Cadalora wasn't bad on the level, but needs to leave behind an ordinary jumping bow.
Prediction : 1st Kilnew Supreme 2nd Siorai 3rd La Cadalora

This doesn't look a strong race on paper and CALGARY TIGER might prove to be the answer. The 11-year-old was highly tried earlier in the season, falling at Cheltenham before being completely outclassed in the Desert Orchid at Kempton, and is entitled to step forward from his recent fifth at Newcastle. Redbridge Rambler was running well enough over further at the back end of 2025 and will be a threat if handling the drop in trip. Richforadaay might come on from his chase debut at Hereford.
Prediction : 1st Calgary Tiger 2nd Redbridge Rambler 3rd Richforadaay

KHAFRE arrives searching for a hat-trick after a brace of victories at Taunton, including on his handicap debut last time. Syd Hosie's charge has a 5lb rise to contend with, but appears capable of handling it. John Barbour can be forgiven his latest outing at Uttoxeter and commands plenty of respect if bouncing back to what he achieved the time before when beaten a neck at Ascot. The return to hurdles may benefit Reallyntruthfully after not jumping particularly well at Huntingdon.
Prediction : 1st Khafre 2nd John Barbour 3rd Reallyntruthfully

QUEENS GAMBLE was no match for a progressive rival at Doncaster at the end of February, but that may have been a quick enough turnaround following a Listed success over C&D a fortnight earlier. The return to this venue gives her a decent opportunity to go one better. Obsessedwithyou was progressive last summer and may well have more to offer now back from a winter break, while it would be no surprise to see Somespring Special step forward from her Kempton run.
Prediction : 1st Queens Gamble 2nd Obsessedwithyou 3rd Somespring Special

VICTORY SHOUT failed to supplement his Taunton success when well beaten into second over 2m4f here at the start of the month, but this step back in trip looks the right move. If in similar form, he will prove a tough nut to crack. Ribba Hill showed more when filling the runner-up spot at this venue on his most recent outing and has to be considered under Tom Bellamy. Ugo Bingo completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Victory Shout 2nd Ribba Hill 3rd Ugo Bingo

SORGEAN finished second between the flags before changing hands for 38,000 pounds in December and goes for the in-form Harry Fry team. Her dam is related to a few winners and it would be no surprise to see her making a winning start under Rules. C&D scorer Western Charm was well-held in Listed company at Sandown on her most recent start, but she will appreciate this drop in class. Lady Litigator is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Sorgean 2nd Western Charm 3rd Lady Litigator
