Scottish Champion Hurdle Runners Guide
TELLHERTHENAME
The only entry for the Dan Skelton in this valuable handicap hurdle. His best form has come on better ground and he caught the eye despite finishing only 12th in the County Hurdle last time off this mark of 133. He previously finished a nose 2nd behind Jango Baie at Ascot in November 2023 before beating Lucky Place by 14 lengths at Huntingdon so could prove well handicapped off this mark.
CAPTAIN HUGO
Progressive novice hurdler who won the Morebattle Hurdle last time on his handicap debut. That victory came by ¾ length off a mark of 129 and he has been raised 6lbs as a result. Bounced back from a fall at Musselburgh on his penultimate start.
TUTTI QUANTI
An impressive 15 length winner of the William Hill Hurdle at Newbury in February off a mark of 138 which led to his connections supplementing him for the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He was reluctant to line up and as a result didn’t get a lead like he had done on his previous two starts and as a result finished 8th beaten 20 lengths.

Scottish Champion Hurdle 2026 Betting Tips
As highlighted in the trends video for this race, both TUTTI QUANTI (best priced at 9/2) is the only horse to hit all of the five trends.
If the forecast rain arrives then that will boost the chances of Tutti Quanti who was an impressive 15 length winner of the William Hill Hurdle at Newbury in February. The form of that run has been boosted by the runner-up Wellington Arch winning at Aintree last week and both Dance And Glance and Let It Rain winning subsequently. He can be forgiven his below par run in the Champion Hurdle last time.
