Last year’s winner CUBAN GREY (best priced at 15/2) has had the same preparation at Bellewstown last time and he should be able to repeat his victory despite running off a 6lb higher mark. The Pat McKenna trained six-year-old finished 2nd at Bellewstown following a run at Dundalk prior to winning this race off a mark of 70 last time. This year he finished 5th at Dundalk, 2nd at Bellewstown and now runs here off a mark of 76.

Cuban Grey has previously won on soft ground twice in his career so the softer ground this year shouldn’t inconvenience him and he should run well in an open race.
