Tip 1: Frostmagic - 1pt

Best odds of 9/2 at Unibet while publishing.

The likes of Milteye, Nyman and Lord Roxby are all drawn wider than ideal so preference goes to FROSTMAGIC (best priced at 9/2) who represents the Ismail Mohammed stable who have won with three of their previous five runners. The four-year-old has run well on both of his starts in 2026 finishing 2nd at Kempton and winning at Southwell last time by a neck.

Frostmagic should be well suited by this slight drop back in trip and the booking of Tom Marqyand is a signal of intent. He should run well from Stall 4 despite now being off a career high mark of 78.

Tip 2: Killycarn - 1pt

Best odds of 5/2 available at Skybet while publishing.

This Class 5 0-105 handicap hurdle represents a drop in grade for KILLCARN (best priced at 5/2) who was last seen finishing 2nd in a Class 2 handicap hurdle at Musselburgh. The Joel Parkinson & Sue Smith trained six-year-old won on his handicap debut at Catterick on New Year’s Day off an opening mark of 100 before finishing 6th and 4th in Class 4 company on his next two starts.

Killycarn ran well to finish 2nd last time in a better race and the booking of Gavin Sheehan, who is 5/22 for this stable (23% strike rate) appears to be a positive. He should run well once again over this intermediate trip.

Tip 3: Lady In The Park - 1pt

Best odds of 8/1 at bet365 while publishing.

LADY IN THE PARK (best priced at 8/1) won this race last season off a mark of 108 and runs in it off only a 1lb higher mark this year. The eight-year-old won in impressive style by 4 ¾ lengths that day making all under Jack Power in first-time blinkers and it seems noteworthy that they have delayed the application of a first-time visor until this race.

Lady In The Park has been dropped 2lbs by the handicapper back down to a mark of 109 following her 4th place finish at Kelso last time and she looks overpriced to retain her crown
