John Galt makes only his second appearance in handicap company and could do better for the step up in trip. Jamie Spencer is an interesting booking for Vaguely Royal.

Course winner New York Minute is looking to bounce back after his disappointing effort at Newcastle and he may well do so, but MARNIER makes the most appeal. The Gosdens' gelding failed to live up to market expectations when well beaten at Kempton, but is worth another chance.

The son of Time Test put his underwhelming efforts in maiden/novice company well behind him when comfortably getting off the mark on his handicap bow at Lingfield and is 6lb well-in under his penalty. Lexington Express benefited from setting a steady pace when hitting the woodwork at Wolverhampton and is now 1lb higher. Of the remainder, Clear Above makes the most appeal.
