Steve Ryder shares his two best bets for Friday's Horse racing action at Sandown.

Tip 1- Wise Prince - 1pt

The John & Thady Gosden stable have made a good start to this season with 14-48 (29% strike rate) and they run a potential classic contender in WISE PRINCE (best priced at 9/2) in this Group 3. The son of Ghaiyyath made an impressive winning debut at Nottingham in October, a similar race to the one that Golden Horn won on debut back in 2014. The 2nd hasn’t run since but the 3rd Eddaari and the 4th High Storm have both won subsequently to give a bit of substance to the form.
Wise Prince still holds an entry for both the Dante Stakes and Derby and the stable boast some exciting three-year-olds winners already this season with the likes of Oxagon, Portcullus, I’m The One and Water To Wine. The stable won this race in 2010, 2014, 2017 and 2018 and Wise Prince looks the one to beat this year.

SUNSHINE STAR (best priced at 6/5) remains on of five Oaks entrants for the John & Thady Gosden stable and she should be able to make a winning reappearance this season having made an encouraging debut on the AW last year. The daughter of Sea The Stars finished a closing 2nd behind She Commands at Kempton last season with that rival having the benefit of experience that day. The pair pulled well clear of the remainder and Sunshine Star shaped as if this step up in trip would suit.
Sunshine Star is in receipt of 6lbs from both Ribbon Of Sea and Felicitas which should mean that she gets off the mark at the second attempt with Oisin Murphy taking over on board.
