Steve Ryder shares three best bets for Sunday's Horse Racing action.
2:13 Nottingham
Tip 1 - Box Clever - 0.5pt EW
Best odds of 6/1 available at bet365 while publishing.
The Jonny Portman stable have started the season in good form, including two winners last week on their reappearances, and hopefully BOX CLEVER (best priced at 6/1) can do the same. The filly ran well in three turf maidens last season on good to firm ground including when winning at Salisbury in August before having excuses on her next two starts. The dam and all of the family have shown better form on faster ground so she can be excused her defeat on heavy ground and also on the AW at the end of the season.
Box Clever now returns off a mark of 70 in this grade and she looked the type last season to have progressed from 2 to 3. She should run well after a 205-day break under Rob Hornby.
4:05 Wetherby
Tip 2: Secret History - 1pt
Best odds of 13/8 on bet365 while publishing.
This race looks set to be dominated by the three-year-olds at the top of the market and preference goes to SECRET HISTORY (best priced at 13/8) who makes her handicap debut in this race. She has run well on her three career starts to date when finishing 2nd to Touleen on her debut at Newbury, 3rd when narrowly beaten at York when not getting the clearest of runs and then didn’t have to improve to get off the mark at Chelmsford in January when dropped back to 6f.
Secret History beat a 73 rated rival that off level weights and she therefore should be well treated off an opening mark of 77 now stepping back up in trip to 7f in a first-time hood. Connections have had Synchronicity, the sister to Ombudsman, and Felicitas win in the previous fortnight so hopefully she can provide them with another winner.

Tip 3: Persuasion - 0.5pt EW
Best odds of 4/1 available at Paddy Power while publishing.
The David & Nicola Barron trained PERSUASION (best priced at 4/1) caught the eye over this course and distance last time and he could return back to winning ways off a career low mark. The nine-year-old won over this course and distance last season off a mark of 87 and ran an interesting race last time when 6th beaten just over three lengths at the finish. He was keen when settled in the rear of the field, made stylish headway before getting tired late on off a mark of 86.
The handicapper has dropped Persuasion 2lbs for that effort which seems generous and with the benefit of that run and the drop in grade from a Class 2 0-105 handicap into this Class 4 0-85 handicap, he should run well
