A C&D winner last summer, Adam Kirby's charge was back in the winning groove at Wolverhampton 10 days ago and the relatively quick turnaround suggests he's bounced out of that race in good nick. Lequinto heads the list of dangers from Maharajas Express, who has an absence to overcome but is a capable type.

There are some interesting newcomers going to post for this maiden and the market may tell us more about Lady Magu and Madrisa, who are the most appealing on paper. St Hilda performed well on her introduction here in November and is noted, but TICKER TAPE is expected to show marked improvement for her Wolverhampton debut and she edges it for a powerful yard.

EL MATADOR wasn't disgraced in some competitive class 2 handicaps towards the end of his three-year-old campaign and a subsequent gelding operation could unlock some improvement. Ralph Beckett's charge makes plenty of appeal dropping in class and market support would increase confidence on this return to action. Silver Trumpet has the benefit of a recent run when fourth at Southwell and he's feared most, ahead of Port Road.

Francisco arrives on the back of a fair third at Chelmsford and a 1lb ease in the ratings can only help. However, GLADIADORA supplemented a triumph at Southwell with a narrow defeat at Nottingham and, despite a 2lb rise in the ratings, she might still be well treated. Cooramook returned to form when finishing fourth at Wolverhampton and completes the shortlist.

STORM POINT got off the mark on his first handicap outing at Kempton at the beginning of the month. A 4lb rise for that success may underestimate this unexposed son of Blue Point and he gets the vote as a result. Caviar Cowboy has shown plenty in novice/maiden company and has to be noted, while If I Could Dream and Tactical Blitz are others to consider.

Son Of Man accounted for Wonder when winning over C&D earlier in the month and both are likely to be in the mix once again. That said, marginal preference is for ADJUVANT, who arrives here well handicapped and put in a promising display when third on his seasonal return at Southwell a couple of weeks ago.
